In her story, Sigrid is the creation of a mad scientist. She is in actuality a homunculus - almost a living doll in itself. She was "born" when his labratory was destroyed in a large fire. She was only able to awake and leave because she was released under an emergency fail-safe.

She wandered the streets, observing and learning from others. She eventually was taken in my a mysterious thief who now is responsible for taking care of her. Sigrid continues on her search to learn who she is and who made her.

The world she lives in is a strange place inspired by Victorian England, early 20th century Germany and imaginary steampunk settings.
