Reason for choice:

I had been watching Dust of Dolls' work for a long time, because I love all of their doll designs, but I never thought I would become a doll collector myself! When the Helö and Ïlus designs came out, however, I fell in love with Helö's tiny size and adorable face. So I bought my first bjd. Turns out, it's a slippery slope!

Best Points:

Her face is adorable, and I love that she has gigantic hips. For some reason pear-shaped seems to be my ideal doll body. I also love that, because she's so tiny, dollhouse-scale props work perfectly for her.

Worst Points:

I don't love that you can see her teeth, and the way her backside is shaped makes it a little difficult for her to sit on flat surfaces, but those are minor details.

Name story:

Tricksters are my favorite characters in mythology. Sigyn is the the wife of the Norse trickster god (well, technically he's a jötunn) Loki. I've become a little obsessed with her character, since there's not much written about her.

As one of the æsir, Sigyn eats magical golden apples that grant her immortality and perpetual youth.

Sigyn is a member of the Old Norse pantheon of gods and goddesses, the æsir. However, she lives in the modern world, and enjoys the conveniences of both magic and technology. She is naturally quiet, can be shy around people she doesn't know, and is a very domestic, practical-minded person. She enjoys sweets and a good cup of tea. Her favorite things, however, are stories. Because of this, Sigyn is a bibliophile, who plans to have a personal library some day. When they first met, Sigyn found her now-husband Loki's personality to be abrasive and intimidating, but his exceptional ability as a storyteller eventually won her over.
