Reason for choice:

I wanted a Volks doll that posed better than my Nono, and I love both Shinsengumi things in general and his pretty face.

Best Points:

Everything??? He poses so nicely, the sculpting on this body is really aesthetically pleasing, his face is so pretty and he looks good in everything.

Worst Points:

He has the defined-muscle type arms, and they look a little odd with the gentler details of the rest of his body. Also his kips sometimes get stuck.

I'd like to distance him from "death by tuberculosis," but Souji is still the delicate one everyone has a soft spot for, no matter how exasperated that makes him. He's old enough that he thinks he should be able to take care of himself, but doesn't really look it.
