Reason for choice:

Floyer's closer likeness to Tahno drove me to reshell him with that sculpt. I also felt the Popodoll body had better poseability, and fit better aesthetically overall with the Flower scuplt.

Best Points:

Likeness to the character (with a couple minor customizations: rounded the chin and modded the eyes a bit), poseability of the body.

Worst Points:

Just needs a good pair of jointed hands that are a decent resin match.

Tahno is based off a secondary (although my obvious favorite) character from book 1 of Legend of Korra. Once I saw promos of Pharaur, it went downhill from there. That face just matched so perfectly!

I recently decided to update his look, and ended up completely reshelling him as Dika Doll Floyer. Also, he's currently on the Popodoll 68cm, (who he swapped with Mako for).

His color scheme is more gothic in nature (darker, cooler shades), as well as blue (waterbender color association, naturally) Maybe some natural browns as well.

Trendy, sexy, mixed nationality (water tribe, Republic City), but with a definite hint of water tribe.

His hair, trademark smirk and his stylish coat.

He's currently wearing a coat designed to look very similar to the one Tahno wore in his first major appearance in Legend of Korra. I commissioned the lovely Ellidyr here on DOA to create it for me. Once I get more confident in my own sewing capabilities, I plan to make him a second one, which will be a variant in blues/indigos of the current coat's style. The ensemble pieces are a black sleeveless high-collar tank and black baggy trousers from S&W Doll, and his boots were purchased from Alice's Collection.

I'm going to probably base his character more off of the fanfic version in an AU story I'm currently working on from the Legend of Korra that inspired my original story and it's characters (the one involving Tahmos).

Tahno's from Legend of Korra. He's a professional Probender---the waterbender of the White Fall Wolfbats. That's where his name originated from.

Tahno was once the proud (and maybe a little too arrogant) team captain of the probending team, the White Falls Wolfbats. He's fashionable, a bit androgynous, somewhat gothic in his stage/public persona's style, and particularly attentive of his appearance.

His specialty was waterbending, and unfortunately also bending the rules of the game. This got he and his teammates in trouble, attracting the attention of a mad masked man who would eventually ruin their lives and careers. In the aftermath, Tahno and his teammates discovered---to their utter horror--that they were no longer capable of manipulating their respective elements (water in Tahno's case, of course).

Eventually there was light at the end of the tunnel; Avatar Korra found a way to reverse the procedure and restore Tahno and his teammates' bending back to them. Afterwards, however, he and his teammates found they no longer had a drive to compete or acquire fame in Probending. The trio would instead find themselves going down a very different path from their previous life.

Still, even with the blow to his ego----Tahno likes to make sure he's presentable, fashionable and looking fierce.
