1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Taylor Lace

Maker:
BlueFairy
Head Sculpt:
Emilie
Skintone:
Normal Skin
Body:
Tiny Fairy Boy Body (Classic)
  • Face-up artist(s):
    BlueFairy (girl-type faceup)
    Date of acquisition:
    June 2015
    Provenance:
I am the first owner and I bought it from the company.
    Reason for choice:
I bought this doll as part of a planned set. I wanted all the dolls in this set to be from the same company, to ensure consistent aesthetics, but to have variety of body types, facial types, gender, and color within the set.

I wanted at least one tan, white, pink normal, and pale normal doll, an even number of males and females, plus at least one unisex, and one of almost each body type that BlueFairy offered (girl, boy, dandy, blossom). I wanted a feminine and masculine boy and girl, as well as different eye/facial types (gentle, serious, dreamy, bright, neutral).

Taylor fulfills the following: pale Normal skin, body body, girlish boy, gentle face.

I wanted to be sure to get Taylor in BlueFairy's Classic body, as I thought it looked cuter and more youthful compared to their Neo bodies out now.
    Best Points:
He has just the prettiest, sweetest face with the gentlest little smile. He poses easily and solidly, even if the posing is simplistic. He fits 6-7in and 7-8in wigs. Because he's NS, I worry much less about him yellowing.
    Worst Points:
His elbows are the worst-posing part of his body.
  • Eyes:
    16mm Orange
    Wig:
    6-8in Orange, brown
    Favourite colours:
    Orange, beige/cream, brown
    Fashion style(s):
Airy, loose, styles, natural fibers, and androgynous to feminine designs. Key color is orange.
His key colors are orange, brown, and cream. He's the most difficult to find clothes for of all my dolls. I want to aim for feminine and androgynous, but without necessarily being overtly female or too childish. I would enjoy finding clothes for him that either have a natural, down-to-earth feel or an exotic and fantasy feel.
  • Name story:
Themed after sewing and the words 'tailor' and 'lace'.
    Character age:
    ??? 100+?
    Character gender:
    Male
    Offsite roleplay:
This doll's character is available for offsite roleplay.
Creature Classification: Andolim (Series 3, Degree 2, OOAK, Maker Pygmalion)

Andolim is short for 'animated doll golem'. Andolims were invented by the fairy Pygmalion; upon being revealed to the public eye, they were quickly popularized as rare luxury goods exclusive to the wealthy. High-quality andolims like Taylor are easily worth more than their weight in gold, and perhaps even more than their owner's weight when fully accessorized.

Though not technically a living creature, andolims are beings that possess souls and are capable of individual thought and feelings.

Though incapable of using magic themselves, they are extremely adept at handling magic items and creating items that are suited to magic enhancements.

    His Story:
Taylor's Maker was the famous Pygmalion. His Owner was the heir to an old, rich merchant family, the Belle Estate; Pygmalion and the Belle family have had an established friendship from generations past and Taylor (along with four others) were a gift to the last living member of the family. He was his loyal companion from youth to his death bed. He is a doll in a Collection of five.

    About Him:
His element is air, his season is fall. Though he may appear like the shy and soft-spoken type at first, he's really quite a social butterfly and enjoys social gatherings of all kinds. Though optimistic and sweet, he's a bit of a ditz, forgetful and thoughtless. His skills are in magic, dance, music, sewing and crafting, climbing, conversation, romance, and weather. He is a charismatic crowd-pleaser with a Sanguine temperament.
