Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     Provenance:
    Head purchased secondhand from Sillypeach here on DOA. Body, minus hands and feet, was purchased secondhand on Mandarake. Feet were purchased on Yahoo Auctions. Her old hands were a freebie with another doll, and her final hands were harvested from another rescue Volks body! She's a real patchwork gal.
    Reason for choice:
    When I first saw her, she was a headless, handless, footless body languishing on Mandarake. I felt like she deserved a loving home. I bought the rest of her necessary bits separately, with her head arriving last - I was just browsing DOA for faceupped heads and this Napidoll one really stood out to me. The hybrid worked out great, and now here she is!
    Best Points:
    Beautifully smooth, solid resin. A gorgeous faceup. Really natural, graceful posing, too. Good for cuddling!
    Worst Points:
    She weighs approximately ten billion pounds and hoisting her around for clothes fitting and photoshoots and whatnot is no simple task. Also, while her single jointed knees have great range, her single jointed elbows very much do not.
    I have a real soft spot for things no one else wants or loves. This girl is a conglomerate of parts from different sources, but together, they combine to make one of my favorite dolls in my collection. The Maiden is not at all the kind of doll I expected to own - she's very old fashioned in look, and she doesn't really fit with the rest of my household's aesthetic at all. But I wanted a doll who could just be a doll - specifically, I wanted a doll who would be content to wear pretty dresses, because every other doll I've bought to dress cute has refused to.
