Thistle is a quiet and patient individual who likes to be useful. Tuulikki is the only one who can get any sort of rise out of her.

Thistle was engaged to a man she didn't know or even love, so she chose to run away and make a new life for herself in the forest rather than wed him. She knows how disappointed her family is and she feels guilty for it still, but she has many other siblings who can marry many other people, so she hopes that that will make up for her small betrayal.
