Traveler's real name is Florizel, but he seldom goes by it. Mortal life flickers by in an instance; still he lives on, exploring the cosmos. What's the point of sharing every detail with a puff of air? While 'traveler' is a title branded to an outsider, he's taken a sentimental liking to the moniker. How many generations of faces have lit up at the prospect of seeing him across a plethora of worlds- the cheerful vagabond with a sleevefull of tricks?

He's fond of mortals. Curiosity prevails; he cannot help but explore their cultures. Still the years have taken their toll, and his enthusiasm is tempered by reluctance. Relationships with these whimsical creatures never last; all too soon they die, leaving him to suffer a little lonelier than before. It doesn't help that his race is virtually undetectable by sight; their appearances change at the end of each 'lifetime'. Faces, memories, identity... all are scrapped in favor of blending into whatever society they 'died' in. Only those who clung to their origins still remember how to stabilize. How to live without aging past a certain point. Florizel knows there are others out there... but even his energy detection equipment has fallen flat. Clearly, the other travelers have forgotten who they are.

But thanks to his misadventures, he's no longer alone. The solemn metal Djinn, Thalanx, accompanies him in his travels. And his efforts have not all been in vain. Rather they've returned in the form of a cantankerous elder, Cerimon, who'd rather be left to his homestead than backtrack across the universe. Most recently, Traveler has found comfort in the form of an aging archmage and his odd companions on a dingy little world called Achelon.

There's also something about a fairy princess being kidnapped. Someone should do something about that.
