Reason for choice:

I fell in love with Yan way way back in the day, and even almost put her on layaway once in 2007. She's just so cheerful and sweet, and the supia body is downright gorgeous.

Best Points:

So. Freaking. Pretty! Her smile is outrageously charming (seriously this doll always looks happy to see you), and all of her features are so delicate. Her resin texture is amazing, seriously.

Worst Points:

She came strung at an odd tension and I've only managed to make it worse so far. I wish her shoulders had grooves to "lock" them into place. Setting her eyes is frustrating because I'm used to a larger head. I love how her single joints look but prefer the posing on my double-jointed doll. A lot of this probably has to do with her stringing right now though.

Poor Usako has had half of a faceup for years now (basically I stopped halfway through when I finally conceded that I need a respirator and have managed to put off getting one), and has spent most of her life in her box, because I have nowhere to display my mini girls. I occasionally take her out just to dress her up and fuss over her, though.

Pardon the mess on that lonely image of her. Whenever she's finally finished I will take a picture in a clean spot, but I just wanted to get something, even if she's not done.

Name story:

Usako is a nickname for Tsukino Usagi (Sailor moon) and this is the name that came to me when looking at images of the limited edition 'Cuty Honey' Yan. She's not actually meant to be Usagi, but the name suited her so well I had to keep that idea. I named her six years before she came home.
