Straight from the artist, vitzly.putzly on instagram, he was a miscolored cast and available for a good deal because of it.

Reason for choice:

I love tiny dolls, and am obsessed with the Konstantin sculpt, his detailing is nothing short of impeccable.

Best Points:

Everything- posing, detailing, general presence, he's a truly perfect doll

Worst Points:

he is a little difficult to paint well, a steep learning curve compared with other dolls- also he's difficult to pose while dressed, though his joints are incredibly engineered.

Valere dresses in what can best be described as a luxurious way, chiffon, silk, lace, velvet- he appreciates the finer things in life and knows he looks damn good in them. Sometimes he will dress in a more casual way, but every aspect has it's place and even the simplest of shirts must be impeccably done.

Name story:

Valere is from the latin for "be well" or "strong" and Ardeinae is the taxonomic subfamily with Herons in it, this gorgeous guy is so lanky and graceful I wanted to name him something related to waterbirds, and Valere is definitely the sort of name the character would pick for himself.

Valere Ardeinae is a rogue, a scoundrel, a liar, a coward, and, above all, a Wizard. From sleight of hand to tricks of the word, orbs of light to bitter potions, Valere knows much of the uncanny arts, and uses most of them to his own vain ends. He's happy to let you know it too, better no one goes and gets the idea that he's a kind and caring person deep down, that would cause him no end of trouble.
Valere's character is very inspired by Howl from the Howl's Moving Castle book- he's not exactly Howl, but he's definitely the same breed of Mess, and it's really fun to have a vain disaster like this in my collection.
