Winter is a Delf Yder bought directly from eLuts shortly after the sculpt was released in 2005. They've mellowed out to a nice cream and still pose fantastically well for an older, single-jointed doll. I wouldn't change anything about this doll or sculpt. Winter is my first BJD.

When 'dressing up' Winter often wears blacks, leather, boots, and sheer/revealing tops. In a day-to-day setting Winter tends to wear more comfort over fashion with leggings, long shirts/loose dresses, and hoodies. They will sometimes wear jeans, often when they want to look more presentable but still want to be more comfortable than anything else.

Name story:

Winter was originally named 'Hawthorne' when they arrived. The name lasted for about a week but never felt quite 'right'. I don't remember how I chose Winter, but once I switched I've never looked back.

Winter is a second-year painting graduate student. Due to an event during their first year, they lost their housing scholarship and now live in their studio just trying to survive long enough to graduate and get their degree. They are prideful to a fault and struggle to accept help in any capacity, even if they desperately need it. A chance run-in with a printmaking senior early into the school year throws Winter's entire routine into a tailspin. Especially as they've been low-key sketching said printmaking senior for weeks at the local coffee shop the other student works at.
