Xavier is a king of Scarasol, the one of the former kingdoms, now part of the Empire. His race called vylchak, they came from werewolves, that lost their ability to transform. That was long ago, when the world survived huge magical cataclism, made by elven sorcerers.
He is true leader of his people, and is widely respected by them. Many centuries ago vylchaks was just a bunch of barbarians, but then few preachers came to Scarasol and brought civilization. He was chosen to be one of the Immortals, and priests of the Church transformed his body. Since then he was loyal to them.
He is destined to be with Ida, woman he loved from the first sight, so they will find each other no matter what.
