Yakov is an artist, painter at heart, originally from Russia. His father is a politican and has wanted to take up this life course but Yakov was never interested and became a painter. To make a living, he is an art history teacher on college.
He has a small addiction to various opiats, that he now needs to tackle his muse to paint. Usually he is silent and keeps his distance from people. Mika is the only one who usually spend time with him, being his models for paintings and sometimes going into his classes. Yakov has no idea of her secret identity.
