Beryl's aloof scowl was rather perfect for this character. I just could not unsee it.

Yoki is a vampire who has long ago forgotten her age as the years go on by. She has watched her own kind fall as the price of their ambitions. So, too, has she watched many other civilizations rise and fall. She is a transient creature, restless by nature. Wordless things call her away, stars always seem to pull on her hair.

She appreciates nature as it was meant to be and often seems to get along far better in cultures "civilized" societies deem savage. She much prefers animals and often books to most people, though she does to a fair amount of people watching. Though she may come across as reserved and even icy to some, she is actually fairly kind and loves children- though she will never have any of her own nor will she ever turn someone into a creature like herself.

If there is anything that breathes life back into a weary, somewhat cynical soul such as hers, it is her passion for music. To see her dance has been described as poetry given form. It is like a language and each movement is a word. She has taken lifetimes to learn how to pronounce them well. Though she could mimic, she staunchly chooses to learn such things the human way, errors and all. The same could be said of years of practice on multiple stringed instruments or even her voice in song.

But then... what else was a former princess to learn? Save the intricacies and intrigue of Court politics- all of which she hated.
