    Date of acquisition:
Head Summer of 2016, Body Winter of 2017
    Reason for choice:
I loved the eye shape and slight smirk. Ysayle is a very confident (and arrogant) person, so I felt the attitude was perfect.
    Best Points:
The resin match is pretty spot on for a hybrid and it allowed me to get an Erica without being able to afford the whole doll. The face has a lot of character on it's own, but I really love the way the face up brings it out!
    Worst Points:
The body had to be hot glue sueded to help take care of the posing issue. I might also wire later for more solid posing. There's also some light marbling (I was aware of that at purchase). It's really not noticeable in photos to my knowledge, you only see it in certain light or up close.

"Be careful what you wish for--you just might get it" is a mantra Ysayle lives by. Born shortly before the fall of the Persian Empire, she was a slave girl to a powerful Shiek who ran an underworld organization. At a young age she was moved into the harem and given the name Zahara. The head wife taught her how to survive the dangerous politics she was thrown into. Eventually she won enough favor that she took the place as the head of the harem. That was when she discovered a secret her husband kept--his power stemmed from a genie. Forming an alliance with the genie, they took over the organization and disposed of all in their way. This task complete, she enjoyed the high life of a thriving underworld queen. Before she freed the genie, he bade her ask to "live forever" ensure they could always look after one another and their organization. It seemed a good idea at the time, and she wished it. It was only after her first "death" did she realize her terrible mistake.

Centuries passed. Zahara governed her organization off and on. She would play the role of villain and hero--but more frequently a little of both. She married for power and resources, her only real joy coming in children if she had them. The long passage of years has made her jaded and cynical and her instincts for survival have really sapped her ability to truly live life as it should. Recently, her daughter has thrown a coup, deposing her from her underworld throne. Though she is not entirely sure how, she ended up in an organization whose aim is to reform villains. While she had little choice but to play along, her current companions have turned her apathy into a somewhat curious interest as to whether or not her time in the light will actually stick this time.
