1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

1:1 sized dolls

Sep 4, 2014

    1. I was browsing through doll sites and I came across Magical Angel's Iris. She is a life sized bjd, standing at 180 cm (nearly 6 feet) tall! I was pretty surprised to see such a bjd existed. Iris's price was quite shocking too -- I was imagining she would be much more expensive than she is (considering some 1/3 can be just as pricey). I wonder what other 1/1 sized bjds there are?

What is your opinion on 1/1 bjds; would you ever buy one? (Especially if it were in your favorite sculpt!)

Personally I think it would be cool to use any sort of clothing for regular people, and wigs as well, but having such a large doll lying around the house is a bit too much for me...*_*

    2. 1:1 sized dolls are off-topic...there are few others mentioned around here. If you do some searching, you may come across the threads...

    3. Wow - that is a big doll! :oWhat do you string them with? Bungie cords? I imagine they are pretty easy to dress.

I won't lie - before I got into bjds I thought about purchasing a mannequin and dressing it up like a doll. I thought it would be pretty fun but that is a lot of space to devote to a doll plus it would startle my family to have a full sized bjd in the house. I imagine my sister in law would cry if she saw one - she is scared of the small dolls I have.

    4. Impressive as Iris and other 1:1 dolls are, they are off-topic for discussion on Den of Angels. As such, this thread has been closed.
