1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. I have an extreme fear of bugs of any kind, but I like to respect their space as I want them away from mine (pretty hard to get across, since they don't understand human language).

I never tried taking photos outside mainly for that reason, also because I like to avoid exposing all of my toys to direct sunlight. I suck at taking photos, I don't believe going outside will change that.

Probably not the tip you were looking for, but I feel it's important to always respect nature and all its life-forms. Big or small; a life is a life. I am not implying you meant anything opposite, I just feel if we are discussing using nature as a backdrop and all the life that inhabits it, we can also remember not to harm it while we are out and about.(:

    3. My biggest enemy in nature is wind. Whether it’s messing up a wig, scattering props or knocking the whole doll over, it’s annoying. Sometimes I’ll have someone stand against the wind to block it for me. But then that sometimes creates the issue of shadows...another enemy of mine.

    5. I haven’t tried that, since most of my outside pictures are in my yard and it’s such a boring yard with no rocks or sticks or anything, but I could see that being really useful in parks and nature preserves.

    6. Between wind, humidity, and biting flies it will drive me crazy sometimes! The weather is rarely in my favor where I live so it’s not very often I get to go outside for photo shoots since those are the days the yard work has to be done.

    8. I once thought it would be really cool to have a pic of my girl standing next to a lake on a cliff like area. Then the wind came. Then she fell in!

I recovered her but my heart skipped a beat and that wig was never the same.

    10. I haven't braved the outdoors with Caedan yet. I fear the sunlight and have an appalling garden area to take photos in. I do appreciate the nature photosets I come across though.

If I was to plan one, I'd have to figure out the logistics of it like carry bag and outfits. Also I think I would want a ethereal / fantasy outfit to clad him in. If I made the effort to seek out a beautiful view, I would want him to look his peak elven prince best!

    11. Moss and ferns frequently end up growing in ways that look like perfectly doll-scale plants. Large trees make good backdrops and wind-shields. Spending a few minutes collecting in-scale rocks to add to the scenery of your shot can really elevate an image. Many spring wildflowers are also delightfully doll-scale.
