  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     2. To be honest, it wouldn't really bother me if others had a doll sculpted to look like my face. Mostly because with face-ups and other things, it wouldn't look like dozens of mini-mes. I actually don't know if I'd personally want my doll. I have several features that I'm not fond of, so I can't imagine looking at her everyday.

    3. If it's made to small-scale order like minimee's are, it wouldn't bother me. But if it's made for public purchase then it feels like a publicity stunt and kinda creepy.

    4. Sure. Why the hell not? My face wouldn't sell very well, I don't think, but why not? I'd sure keep a copy, get her face-upped by a pro, and remind myself that I can look that good. I'd be good with with either a really realistic company (iplehouse being an example) or a really stylized company (I love DC, they'd be an automatic yes). As long as they don't sell it as me (painted to look exactly like me) I'd be perfectly fine with it.

    5. I'd definitely do it, I have a fairly generic looking face (I think) but it would be interesting to see how people who might buy it would use my face... the faceups, styles, identities ect.

      I wouldn't say no to any company, but I'd jump at the chance if it were Doll Chateau or Supia or Soul Doll. Especially DC.

    8. Giggle! I am a plump, pleasant, grandmotherly looking lady in my 50's,( the sort that bakes cookies and sews).... I can't imagine anyone wanting a BJD that looks like me!

    10. I've already got a doll to match my face: Dollshe Saint. He's one of those rare sculpts that bridges Uncanny Valley for me. I can never decide if I like him, or if he's disturbing. Having a doll of myself doesn't much interest me. But I almost want to own a Saint just for the shock value. If only because it's a well-known sculpt.

      I suppose if people expressed interest in owning my face, I'd enter. Not for myself, but for them. If they could do something creative with it, or it happened to match an artist's preferences, so be it. But I wouldn't want one. I have a mirror. And a life. Why would I need a miniature version of myself?

    11. I'd do it in a heartbeat. :D People would probably think it was an ugly or weird sculpt, but that's their issue. It would be so fun to make her all the costumes ever. I'd be excited to see what other people did with the sculpt too. I'd make a striking boy. XD

      It would REALLY make me laugh if the hypothetical company's default body was a bodacious, busty thing. XDDD That would immediately make the doll not look like me.

    13. Hhhmm, well, I doubt anyone would want a doll that looks like me, least of all ME! Even when I was young I was what you would call unconventionally attractive, my face is a little asymmetrical and I have a... ahem... strong... nose. My best feature is definitely my eyes.... and those would be changed anyway! It would be nice to see more BJD with western features though, high cheekbones instead of the low rounded childlike faces they often do, stronger nose bridges and deeper eyelids. But me, no no no! :roll:

    14. Haha, I don't know why, but this sound so freaking adorable~ Maybe you wouldn't be a popular bjd-sculpt, but you sound like a lovely real life person!

      As for me, I would totally love a sculpt based of of my face, but I'm afraid (as many others) that I wouldn't be a popular sculpt. ^^;

    15. Well, I have a very "unique" face so I think it would be cool to see a doll that looks like me, but I'm not sure if other people would buy it, like the people before me have said. I would be okay with people buying it, I just don't know if people would want to :P
