1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

A place to keep your dolls......?

Mar 26, 2010

    1. My boy lives on the shelf over my computer desk

    2. My doll has a corner cupboard space that i converted into a room just for her. :D

    3. All of my dolls 'sleep' in their specific boxes when I'm not playing with them, I had a nice space between my bed and bookshelf before, but now its pretty much blocked with their boxes, all lined up neatly, like coffins. >.>
Well, it keeps the sun and dust out from them, so no complains here.

    4. I would really like to get a huge shelving unit and do something similar to JennyNemesis. Really go all out and decorate for each sub-story I have.

Maybe when I have my own place.

    5. Mine used to have their own living room on a shelf in my room, but now there are too many of them for that, so they are currently sitting in various places around the house until I can make another room for them. (which will hopefully be soon, and will still be a living room)

    6. @Cocaine Fairy -- that's an adorable pic :)

I was hoping to put mine (when I get one) in an enclosed case (like the ones they have at collector shops) mainly because I'm lazy at dusting and I don't want too much dust sitting on my doll ^^ Anyone know where I can get one?

    7. in their boxes, under my table, but since I found two chairs at a fleamarket I have a little space in my tv cabinet where they can sit (not all of them, two or three since it's a really small space ;))

    8. I have a small spare room which is now my dollroom.

At first, when I was still living with my parents, I had a desk and later a shelf too to let my dolls sit there.

But then I moved out and started living on my own, and I got a small appartment with 2 small bedrooms. So the smallest bedroom of those is turned into a dollroom from the beginning.
There are 2 tables. One with my normal fantasy folk (elves, vampires, demon and angel) are sitting there, and the other one with my gods and goddesses, and my tinies. That one is basicly my Soom table, lol! XD (with only my dollmore white vulpes and feeple ashley as non-soomies there)

My normal dolls are just sitting there, and the ones with hooves are standing in a dollstand.

    9. My tinies live on one of my bookshelves, my msd moves around the place depending on where there is space, and my SD is either inside her box or sitting on my computer desk depending on whether I have the blinds open or not ;)

    10. Most of the time, she's on my bed, chair, sofa, or desk. I move her around regularly. XD

    11. I'll probably be moving them around soon-ish, but for the moment: my Tinies are on a shelf in my closet, my SDs are hidden in a drawer, and my only MSD has been with me ever since she got here XD" So I don't know where in my room I'd designate space for MSDs :0

    12. my dolls live on the shelfs in my closet. I would love for them to be displayed in my room, but my room gets attacked with bright sunlight. x.x If only there was a way to Display them Upfront without worrying about the dangers of sunlight.

    13. All my guys have taken permanent residence in my bedroom. In my bed to be more specific.
It's the room that has the littlest light, because I have the curtains closed all of the time.
I like it when my guys are visible/around during the day.
And no-one is using that side of the bed so yeah
I actually don't have much of choice, since the living room is ruled out with it's massive 1.30m x 2.50m window and I am not a "closet-person". I would be freaking out every time I had to open the closet, afraid that one would fall down since I only have shelves that are above my own height.

    14. I'm actually trying to figure out where to put my first (coming in a month) girl. I have some decent indirect sunlight during the day and the room is indirectly lit by an florescent light at night. Seems like my room is no place for a resin doll. I don't want to hide her away in a box though.

I have a small cart with draws that I was thinking of sitting her on. It's only about 2.5 foot tall, so it's not that far from the carpet should she fall off.

    15. Hiya!

I am the same as alot of peole here, my collection live on my desk, constantly distracting me but I like them to watch what i am doing, and am constantly playing with their hair! no wonder everything takes me 20 times longer than it should to finish lol!!

      xx
      ps, hiya michelle!
      xx

    16. I am making a space for my doll on my bookshelf.
Removing on the the shelves for him to have enough room. But this is only temp until I can find a better place for him...
      I have a low table at the foot of my bed that I was thinking of clearing off but I have my stationary there and no place for any additional tables in my room xD;

    17. My dolls technically have thier own room, but I tend to keep at least one at the computer downstairs and usually another one is in pieces in the kitchen being modded.

    18. My tinies have their own house, a redorated dollhouse.

    19. A few of mine are down here in the living room, but most of the crew are kept upstairs in the spare room that I use as a library... A place I can keep the shades down and curtains drawn to control the amount of light they're exposed to. That's worked pretty well up until now, but a few things have changed recently that have made me seriously consider investing in a couple of display cabinets for them instead.

There are large construction sites both across the street and down the block from us now, were new condos and apartment complexes are being built. I also live right off of what's become a very, very busy road over the last few years thanks to all that construction... And all that has made the dust and "road grime" situation much worse that it used to be. It's a constant fight to keep anything that's sitting out clean. I sort-of hate the idea of my dolls being turned into "cabinet babies", but it's gotten to the point where I'm either going to have to keep them behind glass or pack them in their boxes, which would bother me even more. :p

    20. My girl stays in her box at night, kind of like her bed or something. And during the day when I'm not working, she lounges around the house with me. I'd rather not keep her on a shelf. She's not a collectible display-thing to me.
