It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

ABJD Collectors 55 Years Old and Older

    1. Sistercuervo ZOZO's things are delightful! I love all the props that go with her sales item photos, they are little works of art. And thank you, too!

    2. ZOZO is fabulous.; I just love her work. I bought a NS Miyu girl and a WS Shiwoo girl. If Minnie's head will fit and look good on the Minifee body, I might just buy her one. I just got Miyu a little while ago and her posing is so wonderful compared to Bambicrony. I don't know why other companies can't perfect their posing like these dolls.

    3. Oh no, no... I'm sorry if it came across that way. We're in the "land of brown" -- aka Colorado. On the plains, not in the mountains, but it almost doesn't matter this year, there have only been intermittent moments of weather all summer. I think we had had had over 60 days of above-90 (occasionally WAY above 90) going in to this week and it's been in the upper 90's again.

Thus my comment that I wish it would veer left - it's about the amount of water we need in this county, anyway.

But thank you. I think the good thoughts have undoubtedly found their way to people there any way. I'll be in New Orleans next August, just as I was the year after Katrina - I sure hope it won't be as bad as it was then (we were the first major convention following her, and they still were renovating the Convention Center at that point!)

If it helps at all, I regularly do "dolly soup" here with very very hot water and Oxyclean. It does whiten a bit. Mostly, though, it does a fabulous job of deep-cleaning, and I think that's half the yellowing anyway. I haven't noticed any change in the resin aside from the aforementioned de-grungifying. Note however that I have not tried baking soda and peroxide but if it doesn't soften my teeth (which are 85% refined sugar anyway....) ;)

    4. Everyone must be getting ready for the holiday? Just thought I would share a new (Xinmeng) body I purchased off Ebay. It is quite the poser and at 42cm seems just the correct size for my Iplehouse head. The resin is nicely sanded and beautifully smooth. I will post another photo with the Iple head. She came with a head, but I was not that fond of the face and was hoping that this Iplehouse head would fit this body. Iplehouse white is a little pinker than the body but I still think it works.

    5. Here is the body with my Iplehouse head and Tonner outfit.

    6. Hmmm... Maybe it IS the Labor Day Weekend? ... I don't have any particular plans, although I may go up to my sister's place to hang out, later.

joanmarie--your girl looks fantastic! Is that a Cristy Stone wig? Wonderful colors! :D

    7. Oh wow! That's a terrific looking body and the outfit is divine! Is that the Mad Hatter? Love it! I'm off to Dragoncon in a few, just stopped by for a resin fix.

    8. Nice doll, Jo! I like that body and the proportion is perfect! I'm around, but have a bad headache and am trying to stay offline until it gets better. I have a couple of fused discs in my neck and I aggravated them somehow, probably by sitting at the computer in a bad position. I used to get them when I was working, but they stopped when I retired. I've been online a lot lately, looking at dolls I shouldn't buy, so it serves me right.

    9. What are these things of which you speak? Oh I get the doll part, but the "shouldn't buy" somehow seems like a contradiction in terms...

Hope the head gets better shortly. I know those headaches and would not wish them on a soul.

    10. No, not a Christy Stone wig - although I love hers and have a few. This was another found on Ebay and much cheaper - She had size 7-8 only.

Thank You! Yes it is one of the Tonner Mad Hatter outfits. Tonner site had a sale on the complete dolls so purchased it for the outfit.

I too get headaches if at the computer screen too long. I have turned down the brightness hoping that would help but still need to leave before the headache strikes. I hope you feel better soon.

I stayed far too long last night..fooled about with background photos and decided to place my doll in front of a background that I loved. You know I went to bed with a headache! Served me right..

    11. Lovely photo, Jo. I love woodland scenes, but always have to find actual woods (or bits of them) to take doll photos.

Headache is finally going away, thankfully, and I got an email to tell me that my birds are coming home to nest. Well, bird, actually. My chicken girl is on her way, along with Impl Aigne. I can hardly wait to get them. May have to take a day off from organizing and cleaning (yuk) to paint and play.

    12. Yay for Chicken Girls showing up!

I've been switching legs on Clines for a photo request today, as well as taking the leap and signing up for a writer's workshop at FenCon in two weeks. Now I just gotta write 15 pages of the story that's been rattling in my head for two years and submit it by 9/9. Why do I get myself into these things?

Oh, and I'm restraining myself from the box opening for my OffT Rabbit - once I get the CLine photos out of the way s/he's next and will be posted on my Flickr!

    13. The only way I ever get motivated enough to accomplish anything is to arrange for some sort of deadline, or arrange to have someone counting on me for something. Otherwise, I just drift along in a fog.

    14. I am SO much like this! In fact, my Kindle just sold me an audiobook about overcoming procrastination, I have it so bad... Not that I think there is any help. Deadlines DO help a bit, but often I'll end up blowing deadlines! Geesh.

the only thing that seems to come easy is buying dolls and buying stuff for dolls!!!! And deadlines seem to egg that on pretty well, which is why I guess I have so many limiteds. *_*

dhawktx--15 pages... not that bad. There's always NaNoWriMo... something I never do 'cause way too much pressure...! ...I haven't done many writers workshops at cons. A gazillion years ago, though, I did one with Marion Zimmer Bradley and other writers (she was already elderly and in ill-health, and she didn't much like my short story, although one author thought it had a good concept. I never did anything with it. It already had appeared in a fanzine). 'Hope you have fun with the con. (I'm currently con-ed out. Got home from GenCon two weeks ago and am happily not signing on to any more this year. My house looks like my suitcases and art-stuff (and doll-stuff) has exploded all over it after the 6 trips I've taken this summer).

    15. I try to remind myself that I do not have to have every doll I fall for madly, but if I don't buy them when they're available and then they're suddenly gone forever, I always deeply regret it and obsess about them. There lies true madness, I think.

    16. Oh, I hear your pain! :sweat

I've tried to not buy some limiteds... and then I find myself hunting them down later, with a lot of time and money expended... so I've pretty much given up lately and am just buying. I tell myself I can always sell them later... but of course nothing ever seems to go OUT the door, just IN! :doh

    17. Yeah, I'm the same way. Wish I could be more disciplined, but, well, there ya go!

I just wasn't really thinking about that part of it when I signed up. I WAS going to try to come up with some clothes for le dolliehs for the Con, but, yah, that just went out the window! LOL!

There's limiteds and there's 'could be DISCONTINUED!' THAT is the slippery slope I'm on right now!

      Then there's totally DIFFERENT distractions!

    18. There's a special one I missed. She was on my radar, but I got distracted by family issues and forgot about her until she was gone forever. I have an undoubtedly endless WTB thread posted and I'm not optimistic. Obsessed, but I'll get over it. Probably.

    19. That is so true of me too. :( You know what they say, invention is 1% inspiration, 1% perspiration, and 98% deadline pressure.

    20. Yeah... discipline would be nice... even just a little. But I seem to be less and less disciplined over the years. Now I wonder if I'm getting old-adult-onset ADD!

But distractions ARE fun! Love yours!

And, "might be discontinued" dolls, yes, must buy! As well as anything that pops up for sale on ebay and the marketplace... AND just about everything else... I'm just giving up. Wavin' the white white flag and all that... :sigh

Oh, I just hate when that happens! But you never know... even super-rare dolls sometimes come up for sale. the problem is, you have to check all the possible selling places all the time... which leads to buying other dolls! I'm trying not to haunt these places, since I really am not looking for any dolls (I seem to have BOUGHT THEM ALL... *_* ), but I still seem to check the Marketplace and ebay way too much!

I saw your WTB... I seem to miss almost all the dolls Dollmore sells! For some reason they keep slipping below my radar. But there are 100 of them out there somewhere, so good luck!

I managed to find a LE10 Glamor Model a number of years after he was sold out... so you never know!
