  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum. About the BJD hobby, and making friends..

    1. I also feel pretty alone. I have a pretty active bjd group in my state and they do have meet-ups a lot, and a facebook page. I have one good friend who I got into BJD's and she is active now in the BJD group so I got to meets with her sometimes but I am always sitting off by myself. I am too shy to just start talking to someone, and no one seems interested in my dolls at all. I felt like I was working so hard to impress them, and that is not me I usually don't care what people think about it, but for me the feeling of not fitting in even with people who are into the same things as me, it stole a lot of my joy for the hobby for a while.

      I was out of the hobby for over two years with cancer and am trying to get back in now, and I have decided this time around to just be a little more aggressive, I am going to post more pictures on the groups facebook page, and instead of setting my dolls on a table at meets then walking around to look at other peoples dolls I am going to be selfish and carry my boy around with me like a shield or a conversation starter...we will see how that works! I have almost no advice other then any of you can friend me! And don't let anything steal your joy. This hobby like all hobbies has people who are more outgoing and some that are a little more shy. I think if us Shy ones started to pick each other out and group up it would better for all of us. But don't let the worry or anxiety steal your joy!!

    2. I don't know any other BJD collectors in my area, but I did introduce my best friend to the hobby this year. I used to be very active in doll clubs (non BJD) but when I moved I lost contact with those people and I live too far to really be social with any of them.

      It's kind of difficult for me to get around because I became disabled a few years ago. I'd like to organize a meetup, but health issues and immobility make it difficult.
      I would like to say, though, that my years spent involved in doll clubs was a lot of fun.

    3. I'm okay being alone in this hobby, no one seems to really "get it" - most people are indifferent to dolls. I have to admit though it would be great to run into someone near me who was an enthusiastic collector and fuss over our dolls! :)

      On a side note: is there any kind of registry here or on the web where you can find Doll friends in your area??
