    1. I like glass eyes and my favorite company is Kanis-Augen. Almost all my dolls have glass eyes from this company. They are 100% handmade and they have been made eyes for dolls/teddy bears, etc for hundreds years.

    2. I have acrylic, silicone, glass and urethanes. So far, I've grown out of all but one pair of acrylics. They don't catch light that well and they crack. Silicone, is okay, most of the time they look fake and they catch dust WAY too easy for my liking. I prefer glass, coz they're more readily available and not that expensive. Urethanes...are nice but just a tad on the expensive side and when they yellow...that's my hard earned money down the drain.

    3. I was sure I'd replied to this, but I guess not... I actually prefer acrylics in my dolls, due to the range of colors and patterns I can get, and because I've found some that catch light just as well as any glass eyes I've tried out. Glass does look nice, however, when I'm posing dolls for photos and the eyes track away from where I've positioned them to look, it bothers me; the acrylics aren't as bad at doing that. They look where I want them to look, catch the light well, and are very affordable, so I'm sticking with them.

    4. I'm very fond of Glib realistic acrylic eyes for Unoa dolls :aheartbea, hopefully for my bigger SDs I'll be able to aquire some silicone or urethane in the future, as they're currently wearing glass eyes (okay, but I think that's not the end of the story).

    5. All of my dolls have either acrylic or glass eyes and glass is most definitely my favorite. I've seen silicone eyes before but never felt the urge to purchase them. I'm sure urethane is beautiful, but simply far out of my budget for something like eyes, especially when I find glass to be just as beautiful and clear. I find I'm not particularly picky about brand and such though. So long as the eyes are the right color for the doll, bright and look pretty, then I'm a happy camper.

    6. I have a mix of acrylic and glass - I'd like to have glass for everyone one of these days.

How well do urethane eyes hold up? I've heard a couple of people say they're very easily damaged. That wouldn't be good for someone who handles their dolls as much as I do. I've seen some beautiful ones. but I'd rather have durability.

    7. I haven't tried the silicon ones....The glass are fantastic though! They are more expensive, but they have a more realistic feel to them, more luminous!

    8. I really like glass eyes cause it looks very clear. But most of my doll has small eye than common and its very hard to find low-dome glass eyes :(

    9. I own acrylic, urethane, and handmade resin eyes.
*Acrylics are easy to obtain in a wide array of sizes, and they can come in unusual patterns or colors. The downside is that they make my dolly look a little vacant.
*My sole pair of urethanes are Oscar Doll eyes. I like them because they sparkle and are very clear, but they make my girl look even more vacant.
*My handmade resin eyes are flat, and thus they are ill-fitting in my doll's sockets. However, they have lovely colors and do not make my doll look vacant. I like these eyes the best.

    10. Unfortunately, all eyes that I have seen in person are glass. Urethane eyes are beautiful and my top pick based on how I have seen them show up in photographs. However, they are pretty costly so it is something I want to purchase later once I know what eye size I like in my dolls and what color I want them to have. Glass and acrylic are less expensive so it is easier to buy more and see what I like. I like how well made glass catches the light but some acrylics can have really nice designed and really realistic detail, but I worry that they may look flat in person though I can see them working very well. Silicone do have the advantage of being squishy and filling the gaps in the head nicely, but I think their tendency to attract dust is a bit of an off put for me. I think if I were to have a doll that I was having problems fitting eyes into nicely, I'd settle for a nice pair of silicone eyes. Again, I haven't seen them or handled any type of eye except for glass, in person. So, this is just based on what I have seen from in pictures. I am sure once I get more experience with different types, my opinions will grow and change.

    11. I used to own a combination of acrylic and glass eyes, but have now switched over to purely glass and urethane. Unfortunately, I haven't really found any urethane eyes I'm really happy with yet so everyone in my resin crew are using glass. They just look so much better in photographs! :D

    12. I definitely like glass eyes, my house collects too much dust for any of the polysoft or similar dust attracting materials.

    13. I use acryl eyes, but recently I purchased glass one(s? ><), and understood that even acril eyes have a realistic iris, glass eyes look MORE real when you put it on doll c: I was shocked how "alive" my doll looked.
And I'm thinking about silicon too, but it's too expensive for me, so now I can't try them...
But I am satisfy with glass eyes :) so maybe someday~~

    14. I got glass eyes for my first bjd eye purchase but I will try buying silicone and acrylic

    15. I personally have grown to love Urethane eyes best, but glass is still a very very close second for me! Both give great depth and show up beautifully in real life and in photographs. :)

    16. Glass eyes all the way. I love how they sparkle and to me they appear to have a deeper pigment then the acrylic or silicone eyes

    17. I like acrylic eyes they photograph better from my experience plus there tends to be more styles than glass or silicone.

    18. Definitely glass, but I've also found some acrylics to be really nice (and much safer for clumsy people like me).
I've heard that both silicone and urethane eyes have some annoying things about them (silicone eyes attracting dust and urethane eyes yellowing) but I'd like to own at least one pair of each someday because I want to try them for myself.

    19. I only mostly glass and resin eyes, with one pair of acrylics for an Obitsu head. Silicone collects dust like a magnet (and I have a silicone mermaid tail and it's such a giant dust and cat hair-attracting machine!) and I hear it yellows over time. I'd love to get some urethane eyes at some point, but they're so expensive that it's difficult to pin down who would get the urethanes out of the crew I have!

    20. I like urethane and glass! Urethane looks fantastic! But glass doesn't yellow 8-)
