1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Age and scale problems when setting up doll families

May 2, 2017

    1. As a fellow small person, I was terrified of the 70cm height. Especially since I'm used to fashion doll collecting. But, it seems like ALL the adult male sculpts I like are that size, so I just have to suck it up.

Good luck on the Vito. It sucks that Souldoll is basically the only company doing adults in that category. Although, I think Soom has a 51cm Idealian as well? Maybe check them out, idk.

    2. yeah the idealian head is like.. tic tac small though lol. Tic tac heads! which would be fine if the others in teh group had ickle wee tic tac heads but alongside less uh.. teensy heads it looks weird, like that shrunken head dude in the end of Beetlejuice.

    3. I would like to point out that the average height for an American female is 5'3"... For everyone who seems to find dolls that scale to that plus or minus a few inches oddly sized. On a related note, this is why I'm actually not short. I've just had very tall friends.

    4. I never really thought about the scale too much because I only have one doll, but now that you mentioned it, it IS something that I will have to consider a LOT since I want to end up using my dolls as reference for drawing and painting... then again, since I am taking photographs and will be mostly tweaking the actual references to fit my own needs for whatever drawing or painting I have, I think that I might be able to get away with a lot more if I go into photoshop or something similar and just tweak the scale on my own. If it really bothers you, maybe try that for photographs?? Though, playing with them or actually seeing them in real life will be a real trouble...
