ALL Infiniti Doll - SID13 girls: Daffodil, Miho, Reina, Isabella... etc

Aug 2, 2010

    1. snowgray- I agree it is very pretty in person. I do not regret paying the extra $100 for it when I ordered her.
Thank You and me too. The stockings are pretty too and I want her to be able to ear them. yeah I did say I liked them. I think I might have said it in a post I accidently posted in your gallery thread +_+ Some how I got distracted and then I relized what happened and had to correct the post and then came and posted here. Sorry about that >< Oh no that sounds awful. Hope you are able to fix them. Thanks for the warning about them if I ever do get a pair.
Also I cannot wait to hear how your sanding the seams go. I want to do mine too eventually.

Anna-I agree with what snowgray said about the resin and posing. I am very happy with her. Cannot wait until I can get Steve from them. I agree with you about the owner pics. I would love to see the other girls and guys too.

      Soap- Thank You >^o^<
I cannot wait to see your Isabella. Lol looks that way ^__^ I would love to see pics of the other girls too.
I am glas they showed a pic of Isabella without eyes and all. makes me want to get her too one day.

    2. Hmm.... I think I had the wrong idea of how layaways with Inifinti Doll worked?

I thought once I placed my layaway order with them and paid the first month, they would start working on making my doll but I asked them in what stage my Isabella was in and they said she was in production and she'll be shipped out in 3-4 weeks after my final payment.

Does that mean they didn't start making her yet?
If that's so I shouldn't have done layaway :doh

    3. I don't know if this news is of any interest to anyone else or not but Daffodil and Isabella are now available in real skin white as well as normal skin. I wanted to know if I could get Daffodil in WS so I asked, they said yes and then I noticed they added the option to both girls.

Anyways I ordered a WS Daffodil and it says she takes 14-16mm eyes. I believe she is modeled wearing the 16mm. Has anyone tried 14mm eyes on your girl yet and if so do you have a pic showing her in them you wouldn't mind sharing? Or let me know if the eyes gap too much.

    4. serenity- I cannot wait to see her when you ger her XD
I have not gotten any 14 mm eyes to try yet. My next step is glass eyes, but I plan to get them in 16mm.

    5. serenity, Congratulations! I love Daffodil too and your girl would be so beautiful!! Hope you show us photos when you get her!! I never saw Daffodil real, so doesn't know much about eye size.. Hope you get a perfect set of eyes for her :) Anyways, I also asked for WS Isabella when they first released her and the option was added soon after. I like how they react to people's request.

    6. MysticalRose- Thanks I'm anxious for her to arrive.

More than likely I will get 16mm too but I was wondering if she'll look older with 14mm. I plan on having her look different from her default with smoky brown eyeshadow and a darker lip color.

I think you will really notice a difference when you replace Miyuki's current eyes with glass ones. I've haven't tried urethanes yet but it's my understanding they are just as nice.

Have you tried any dresses or shoes from Luts and know if they fit? I'm thinking about getting this dress here.
      http://www.eluts.com/shop/step1.php?number=843

geumlini-Thank you! Yes I will be sure to post her picture. I'm glad too they listened to our requests and now offer the option. Will you be getting Isabella anytime soon? If so I'll look forward to seeing her. I'm sure you will be very happy with her resin color, it's very pretty in person.

    7. serenity- I see. It would be interesting to see her with 14mm ^_^ perhaps someone can show.
      sounds very pretty XD

I cannot wait to do so. I already have the eyes picked out just got to save up for them.
I saw some urethanes I liked but was not sure about them as far as the color ><

I have not tried anything from luts yet,but have seen many things I like from there. I do have a outfit on layway from someone at DOA by luts and it will be payed off in August. It is a older outfit I think, but am excited to be getting it. So much has come up that I had hoped to have it payed off by now. My grandma passed away last Friday and her fuenral was tuesday so been going through a emotional time since she was like a second mother to me and I talked to her every day. That dress is gorgeous.

I still need to get shoes, but I want black, but now I am worried they will dye her feet if I get black shoes.. any advice. The ones I saw I wanted was from dollheart website.

    8. Mystical Rose-Oh Sweetie I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your grandmother, please accept my deepest condolences. I hope in time her passing will become easier to bear.

What company/color of eyes are you planning on buying?

Well if you do get your dress off layaway before I order mine please let me know if it fits.

Regarding the shoes, I don't think you'll have the same problem as the stockings. Most of my boys wear black shoes with no socks because usually the shoe is too tight to accommodate the sock and their foot, unless it's a boot. I've checked their feet on many occasions to see if there has been any discoloration, especially on my WS dolls and have yet to notice any problems but I can't guarantee 100 percent this won't happen. I probably would take my chance and buy the Dollheart shoes if they are something you like.

I know this really doesn't help you at the moment but I am planning on buying black heels from Luts and can let you know how they work out. Judging by Ashley's shoes I'm hopeful there won't be any problems. The only other option I can see is buying flesh tone stockings from Dollmore and taking a chance they won't stain either. I suppose you can also do a search to see if others have had problems with their shoes staining too.

    9. serenity - The SDF dress you linked does fit. So do SDF jeans. Actually, pretty much every SDF clothing item I've tried on so far does fit! Not as sure about shoes; I've had problems with Dale Rae heels and the heel feet because the slope of the Dale Rae shoes is more suited to flat feet. My Daffodil is going to live with a friend in a house of lots of SDF clothes, so maybe there'll be more updates soon! ;)

    10. serenity- Thank You. I will be ok. each day seems to be getting better. I know she would want me to be happy and not grive emyself to no end.

I am looking at someone from DOA.
      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...Glass-Eyes...6mm-8mm-10mm-12mm-14mm-16mm-18mm

      In neo Glass Ocean Mist.

I will let you know how it fits. It is called The balloon set.
I love the look of Luts clothing. Some are so cute.

What about clothing... as far as black goes. After the oufit... I am now scared of black clothing as well +_+ I still need to rinse those stockigns too. I was just thinking about that the other night.

Thats is good news to hear ^__^
Do you leave them on thier feet all the time or take them off and on?
I would appreciate that. I see shoes at luts that have caught my eye too and eventually plan to get a pair from them.

    11. snowgray-Thank you for letting me know about the clothes. I'm happy to hear the dress, jeans and most other SDF clothes will fit her too. I also appreciate the info about the Dale Rae shoes and I'll be looking forward your updates.

Mystical Rose-I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. The eyes you're planning on getting are very pretty. I bet they will look really nice in Miyuki. The same vendor sells the type of eyes I use in my dolls too. They are the "hands style 24 type" although I bought them elsewhere for a few bucks less but I really like their quality and shine. The Neo eyes are very pretty too and someday I might give them a try as well.

I understand your hesistation to buy black clothing after the stocking experience but I think the type of fabric matters more than the color. The black dress pants I have my boys wearing hasn't discolored their legs at all but I'd be nervous about denim and probably wouldn't let them wear it without colorsetting it first.

Out of curiosity did the stockings stain the entire legs or just where the elastic bands made contact with the resin? I had a wig stain one of my doll's head but only were the elastic made contact, the head cap was not affected at all. Fortunately I was able to remove majority of stain off with a magic eraser but if you look closely you can still see a faint discoloration but it's not visible unless he has his wig off.

Regarding the shoes, yes I do leave them on their feet most of the time unless I'm changing their outfits. Also I'll be sure to let you know about the Luts shoes.

    12. I hope I'm allowed to share photos here; if not I apologize but as I'm very excited about my new girl, I wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce her.

Snowgray was kind enough let me adopt her Infinitidoll Daffodil this weekend to reshell one of my characters. I am super happy with how gorgeous she is and how wonderful she poses and I can say as my wife and I have a house full of Luts and CP dolls, she fits in marvelously with the rest of the crew.

Anyway, Grace and I wanted to say hello. Also, that I tried on a pair of strappy SDF girl pumps on her and while they fit her feet, the strap wouldn't close all the way around her heel feet. I don't know if that helps or not. I can safely say Dollheart clothing fits her though.

    13. Hello sephyelysian! As far as I know it's fine to share pictures in here and I for one welcome seeing them. Congrats on adopting Grace, she is beautiful and I love her hair. I appreciate you letting me know about the shoes and the dollheart clothes, it is very helpful. To be on the safe side, I'll probably order my girl a pair of pumps instead of the strappy sandals I intended.

I hope you don't mind me asking but do you have a Luts 9-10 sized wig at home you could try on Grace and let me know if it fits or not? It just dawned on me that the wig I planned on ordering might be too big.

    14. Hi Serenity! Thanks for the welcome. :aheartbea I think pumps are definitely the way to go. I'm planning on ordering a pair of straight up pumps as well. I did talk to Snowgray about it and she suggested SD16 pumps, Dollheart pumps and boots, NineStyle boots, and SDF boots.

I don't mind at all. Her other wig is actually this Luts wig and it definitely fit her. I think any wig modeled on an SDF or Delf girl will likely fit; if it's modeled on a boy it might be a bit big. I do have some Luts boy wigs (for our Luts and CP boys) lying around. I can try one of them on her if you're interested. I will definitely try and get a picture of her in her blue wig so you can see for yourself though. I can also try a pair of Delf girl shoes on her if you would like to know how those fit.

I think there was also a request for the 14mm eyes in the Daffodil? As of right now Grace is wearing 16mm gray Luts eyes but when I got her I did try in 14mm eyes because that was what was on hand. They don't look bad though I will warn there was a little gapping even if it wasn't hugely noticeable. I tend to like my eyes a bit bigger and tipped back or side swiped to give them them more expression rather than pointed dead on.

Anyway, here's what the 14mms look like in Miss Gracie.

I am super happy with her figure which is different than our SDF girl and Delf girls. It's so much more statuesque. (where as the SDF girl's looks a bit more athletic in comparison).

      Hope this helps!:aheartbea

    15. Serenity- Thank You. I agree. I love that color. I am glad to hear you like the eyes you have. that makes me feel alot better. I have looked at so many eyes before I finally settled on the oens I have picked out.

I am glad to hear that not all balck clothing stains ^_^ also Thanks for the reminder about demin. I had forgotten all about that.

It was in patches along her legs. Her toenails were a light black-purplish blue when I took them off Also behind her legs for some odd reason.
aww.. sorry to hear about that with the wig >< I am lucky it all came off easily with no discoloration at all. When I get a guy I want his hair to be black. Husband is very worried about that XD I told him I think there are way to possibly prevent it,but am not entirely sure. I keep looking at wigs from Luts.

I see ^_^ Thanks and looking forward to that.

      sephyelysian- Hi and welcome.
      Grace is beautiful >^o^<
Thanks about teh adivice on the clothes and shoes.
Mind if I ask. What shirt or ect ... is that black with the white lace on it? very pretty.

    16. Hi, Mystical Rose! Thank you for the welcome. I'm sorry you had that issue with the staining. It happens a lot with black clothing I find. I have a couple of Delfs that were very prone to staining early on but taking a magic eraser to it and occasionally checking them fixed the problem. I've yet to have something seriously, permanently stain any of my dolls (*knocks on wood) and the vinegar solution Serenity suggested does work very well.

It's actually Dollheart outfit I bought .... 2 years ago now? I think, when Grace was originally a Lishe. It's sized to an SD10 but it actually fits the Daffodil very well. Which is a relief since I love the outfit to death. XD

    17. Thank you very much sephyelysian for the advice regarding the shoes and for showing Grace wearing the 14mm eyes. After comparing the first picture you posted in 16mm to the current one in 14mm I do prefer her in the larger eyes too, so now I just need to decide on a color.

I'm happy to hear the Luts wigs will fit. I'd love to see a pic of Grace wearing her Luts one when you have the chance. The wig I'm planning to purchase is this one:
http://www.eluts.com/shop/step1.php?number=2896 It won't be her everyday wig, I'll probably get something shorter or utilize the ones I already have at home.

Yes, I'd appreciate knowing if she can wear the Delf shoes too, thanks for offering.

Mystical Rose-Wow I had no idea the staining was so extensive. Thankfully you were able to get it all off her legs and toes. The issue I had with my socks was very minor compared to yours. Just some black streaks on the bottom of the feet and a mark on the big toe.

I'm not sure if they work or not but those silicon wig caps are suppose to prevent staining. I thought about buying one but I read someone's review that disturbed me. They mentioned that while it did prevent the wig from staining, over time it left a yellowed mark on the doll's head from the cap itself. Not sure one is better than the other.

To be honest if you plan on keeping your guy in black wigs and it does stain the only time it'll probably bother you is if he's bald or if you have plans to sell him. I think like sephyelysian metioned you should be able to keep it maintained by checking and taking off any discoloration before it becomes too severe. Oddly enough, once I remove the discoloration from my boy with the magic eraser I've yet to have a reoccurence with the wig staining and I keep him in the same wig majority of the time.

    18. Hi all! Going to jump into the conversation, since my Daffodil should ship next week! First, I'd like to ask if anyone has pictures of Isabella or Vivian? Well, actually, any of the other Infiniti girls other than Daffodil would be nice!

sephyelysian, Grace is amazingly beautiful! I love the name too, I think it suits her very well! Seeing your girl makes me very anxious to get mine :D

serenity, I like that wig you linked. I think it will look great on Daffodil! I am also very happy to know that Luts wigs fit. I have 3 Delf girls in the house and they have quite a few Luts wigs that I got them over the years. I hope one of the ones I have will suit Daffodil (I have way too many wigs and don't want to buy anymore for a while).

Mystical Rose, I am leery of black clothing as well. I used to collect fashion dolls and black stained them like nothing else, so I try avoid that color with my BJDs. Though, thankfully, it's much easier to remove stains from resin than vinyl - magic eraser is great!

    19. Serenity: I snapped a quick shot of Grace in her Luts wig and then noticed after I processed it that her eyes need to be realigned since one of them had slipped. :doh But here is the shot so you can see the fit. (She's going to murder me in my sleep for posting her like that.) I'll try to get a better one once I fiddle with her eyes and have better lighting.

I also tried this pair of Delf girl shoes on both her ball-jointed feet and her heel feet. They fit both though as you can imagine they fit her ball jointed feet much better than the heel feet. They do fit though. I have also been told Tata sells shoes for SD16 girls which might work well.

Mystical Rose: I do use silicon wig caps on a couple of my dolls. I got mine from Luts and I don't know it's a quality thing or what but I have never had any trouble with them in regards to staining. To be honest, I've come to accept that wig staining is part of life in the doll hobby. If you're super concerned about it, keep an eye out and run a magic eraser over the spot when you notice something starting to form.

Anna: Thank you very much! I really appreciate that and I know she does, too. I think you will be very happy with your girl when she arrives! I can say that she looks very good next to our Miyu and Rona girls and great next to our Delf boys.

I am totally seconding any other Infinitidoll girl spam, especially Isabella! She's so lovely.

    20. Hi Anna! Glad you found this thread and stopped by. I'd like to see some pictures of the other girls as well so hopefully someone will see your request and post their girls soon.

Regarding the wig, Thanks. I did a virtual makeover of Daffodil wearing it with the cloning brush in my photo editing program and I really liked the way it looked on her so I'm hoping in actuality it will look just as nice. If it happens I don't like it on her, my daughter is getting a SDF Blanchet for Christmas and I'll pass it onto her.

I hope the wigs you have at home work out for your Daffodil too. I haven't been in this hobby long, just slightly over a year and am embarrassed to admit how many wigs I have already collected (35+) and now I have plans to buy more.

Grace looks lovely in the wig sephyelysian and to my eyes it fits her very well. Thanks so much for taking the time to post her picture for me, it really helps to see her wearing it in person. I know some dolls have different shaped heads and the same wig can look and fit differently even if they have the same head size.

Those shoes are really cute! I'm glad to hear she can wear them too. Ah I appreciate the info on the Tata shoes too. I'll have to make a point of stopping by and seeing what they have for sale.

Do either of you two make clothes for your dolls?
