1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Am I the only one who prefers single jointed?

Jun 5, 2017

    1. My first bjd was a single jointed dollzone and I loved it. By the time I had a chance to get another they were discontinued and only had the double jointed ones. I like both but the single jointed were easier to control for posing.

    2. I don't really have an opinion on liking one system or the other more, since it just depends so much on the doll and the engineering, but I have to say I absolutely love how the double-jointed looks on the Doll Chateau bodies... because it DOES look unnatural and exaggerated, and it fits their aesthetic perfectly! I think it's just a great use of the doll-making convention to fit a unique look, regardless of preference.

    3. I'm agree with you ;
      I will received a Darak Remy, who have double joints on knee, even if she can pince the legs, it's not very esthetic...
      I have also my Okaeri Tadaima with double joints on knees, it's difficult to pose her, I think the poseability of the first version with single joints it better.

    4. I also prefer single jointed dolls over awful looking peanut joints.There are a few double jointed dolls that look okay, but most of the time the joints just look terrible to me ... cheap even.. more like a shoddy plastic action figure than a beautiful resin art doll.
