1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Angel Region Little Fair Discussion part 1

Jan 11, 2005

    1. Glued in the head you mean?? That actually is common for other dolls, like Volks, as well. It's just hot glue and can be softened with a warm hair dryer and peeled away.

As for the other things...I have 3 (previously 4) AR dolls and have never had any problems. They pose better than any other doll I have owned and are sturdy standers as well. I personally have had no wig problems either. Mine have wigs from Monique, Luts, Dollmore, Leeke and others and all fit just fine.
The s-hook popping out is a possibility for any doll with similar stringing and is not limited to AR and *knock on wood* it's never happened to any of mine.

Enjoy your Ren! I have a Ren also and they are amazing dolls! :)

    2. aww, ty.
I am not sure if i have a hair dryer XD
i Should just have to restring her legs..
if i out her up to stands..she stand like half a min and then collapses because her bum is to heavy and the string isnt supporting her leggs propperly.

Well i think its to lose because when i hold her horizontal face up her legs (knee down) go's down and when i turn her around they flop back..so they arnt kicky....

    3. I put my Ami head on my MNF body and vise versa and they matched pretty well. MNF was slightly lighter, but since mine are both body blushed you can't tell the difference. My Ami acctually almost looks a bit tan. XD

    4. How well does the neck fit? *is considering geting a MNF body for a floating LF head she's soon to have*

    5. Perfectly. I used a large S-hook in place of the one touch head system and it accutally has more head posability that way than the MNF head on the MNF body. XD

    6. Is she strung into the head cap or at the neck?

    7. I didn't do it into the headcap because I only did it temporarily to get pictures of the resin comparison. You COULD do it to the headcap, but she was just borrowing Riku's body XD

    8. Thanks everyone, I think I'll just buy a new skinned blossom body from Blue Fairy and start a project if the skin doesn't match.
I mean, how maany dark skinned blossom bodied LFs do you see? ^-^

    9. Maybe wiring will fix that up a bit^^;
But yes, Jade does that too >w<
I never quite thought too weirdly of it, tho D:

    10. I am excited about the new Glory Angels also! Angelregion has been really promoting their dolls lately with all new looks and stories too. ^.^ I wonder if they they will look different then the 1st ones?

I do have some first generation pictures of the boy Ren and boy Cien Glory Angels only. Sorry, no girl pictures. ^^; I had only them saved. Maybe because I was interested in getting them. @_@ Here they are. The pictures load may slow do to being big.

    13. You find out what her head size is. Most minis are 7-8 but an increasing number of minis (especially mature minis) are 6-7.

If your doll's head circimference is in the middle of one of those ranges, then you will use that size. If the doll's head size is a size like exactly 7 or 8 inches, then you will need to ask other owners what wigs fit. Some 6-7's won't stretch all the way to 7, some 7-8's won't stretch all the way to 8, but some will.

On the Angleregion site, on the Dana girl page, I found the measurements. They list the head as 19.8cm so you divide by 2.54 to convert to inches... and it converts to about 7.8 inches. This means the doll should fit in a size 7-8 wig.

      Basic Kit Dana Girl
      Height
      43cm
      Neck
      7.8cm
      Bust
      17.5cm
      Shoulder
      6.4cm
      Hand
      7.4cm
      Waist
      15cm
      Hip
      19.7cm
      Foot
      5.8cm
      Head
      19.8cm
(and it said elsewhere eyes were 16mm)

    14. Hi! ^^;; Anyway, I actually did run a search in this forum and in the Old News/Archive forum and nothing that I actually needed showed up.

Anyway, I noticed a couple of people mentioning trouble with the Angel Region headcap and getting it off. I'm still a n00b to dollfies and my first doll was a Homme Ducan from Dream of Doll. Getting his headcap off was... well. XD; Incredibly easy!

I just recently purchased an Angel Region Cien and he arrived today. I ended up buying new eyes for him and... I have no idea how to get his headcap off. I've tried twisting it, but it only moves a certain amount. Is there a trick to getting the AR dolls' headcaps off? ^^;; Am I supposed to twist a certain way...?

      Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated since the searches that I did have failed me. ;o;

    15. My Jade's headcap was amazingly difficult to get off because the s-hook was hooked directly to a resin loop in the headcap itself; basically, to lift the headcap you had to be pulling on the whole body's stringing. I had to pry an edge up and then shift the cap to the back or side to get it out of place. I think I needed to use a head-hook or hemostats to get the thing unhooked from the headcap proper, but if you're just looking to change eyes and can shift the headcap enough to maneuver inside the head, you don't necessarily need to get the headcap all the way off.

Not sure if every AR doll is that way, but that's my experience.

    16. I was worried about the heat warping the head, so I didn't bother trying to heat the glue to soften it. ^^;; Instead, I got a really, really dull butter knife from our kitchen and carefully pried the eyes out by scraping at the glue until most of it detached from the head.

And no, I didn't keep the headcap pried off for long, since I already had the eyes that I wanted for Ifrit. ^^ See? :3

    17. She has been sueded, and wired. And she was strung really tight so the sued has good grip ;3

Well, she doesn't belong to me anymore.
So i can't show you any new poses o_o" sorry

Well, hot glue sueding is really easy to do.
I think you should try that, and it doesn't require taking your doll apart.
But he should be strung tight so you have a good grip on the glue.
And wire's would help a lot to keep his legs straight ;3
(i do but hot glue on the tips of the wire to make sure it doesn't damage the resin.)
I think you can find more information about hot glue sueding on doa.

    18. Okay, Elina's having a wee bit of a tough time with shoes. She has some dollmore boots that don't fit too well, and she seems to untie them when no one's looking, so she obviously doesn't like these.
One of my friends gave me some MSD shoes of unknown origin that were too small to even get on.
What shoes WILL fit these dolls?

    19. So.. does anyone know?:sweat

    20. I haven't got the foggiest I'm sorry.
I have a Dollzone MSD and I've ordered two pairs of shoes via Dollmore and those fit just fine.
What's the foot size of your doll?
