We have several LFs, and we've figured that the best way to get their headcaps off is to take their feet off. It might be hard if you don't have a stringing tool, or if he's strung new and tight, but if you pull on his feet you can see the hook on his foot looped through the elastic. If you shove something like a pen or a stringing tool (or a loop of wire) through the elastic to hold it, you can take off his feet and ease the elastic loops up his leg (holding it with a stringing tool or a loop of wire threaded through the elastic loop). then you can take off his ankle ball and lower leg part. use a pen or somethign to hold the elastic in place so it doesn't go up any further, and his head and headcap will be easier to take off because of the slack. ^_^ It's much easier to have the head off for doing eye work. It sounds complicated but really it's super easy once you've done it once, and way easier I think than breaking all your fingers to get a headcap off! To get the eyes out, Joy and I found that a blow dryer on low setting to soften the glue up, coupled with prying up chunks of glue and pushing gently on the eyes from the front with a blunt chopstick really did the trick. also! all little fairs have that knee-turning-in thing, if you twist the upper leg outward slightly in the socket that really helps in sitting, and the problem will lessen as their stringing relaxes.
*squees~!* He's here! Post more latter!! EDIT: for the headcap I just pry it off- I've got nails. But, be carefull where you pry, the resin may chip some -__-; but if you do it where a wig always is, no prob.
My pictures are up now! No opening photos posted, but a photoshoot of sorts instead. http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?p=593418#post593418 It's great to see everyone else's photos also. n_n
I'll have photos up soon. Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I ended up talking to my friend Ebi on the phone and using a butter knife. XD It worked really well. Also the hot glue was a lot easier to remove than I was afraid of. It just peeled right out with no problems, no dryer needed. I'm tempted to separate his fingers now because that little bit of webbing has to go... I him so much though! And the wigs.... so soft...... *wanders off to reformat pictures for posting.* Edit: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?p=593969#post593969 boxes inside boxes inside boxes!!!
I ordered an angelregion Jade version 1 yesterday but today i've read that it is a boy --_-- I just love the face so I plan to keep it but i have some question: Is it a boy or is it androgyne????? If it's a boy, i would hate to dress him as a girl so, before I buy some clothes please tell me!
AR Jade v01 is a boy, as is AR Jade v02. I'm sure you could probably find someone to trade an AR boy for an AR girl body, if you really wanted to.
well ok ^-^then i'll just dress him as a boy, or get him a girl body later! I first have to get it! He's just too cute ^-^ thanks It's going to be my very first doll and .... I didn't look further, I just fell in love with this baby face ^-^
Ok another question then (I'm really a newbie in this ) Angel Region Little fair is about the same size as the Mini super dollfie. Am I sure that every MSD clothes will fit my little Kazuki?? I can not see any measurements on the sites, only the doll type.
i own an angel region little fair, and what i can say is that yes, they do fit. most msd clothes are standard size.
For those of you who have dealt with AR, do they allow custom makeup requests of any sort for basic kits? Or is it stock, no matter what? I've never seen anything on the site saying anything, and I didn't run by any threads when I searched :0. Thanks~
Ummmm I really don't know. Though when I had a question about their BJDs when I ordered Seita, I posted it up on their FAQ board and they responded within 15 minutes . I'm sure they can answer your question.
You are only allowed custom makeup if you order through the OFY Little Fair option. Follow this link for knowledge on this: http://angelsupply.com/productimage/Special.htm You do get more then just custom makeup with the option as you can also choose resin color, wig, glass eye color and get a cute black outfit and boots. I don't know the price off hand for that because it has been changed from when it was offered this holiday season, but my guess is about $450 now (but don't quote me). You will have to email them about the price quote ( mailto:[email protected] ) as they have not put it up on their site the new price.
Are there other hands that will fit and match an AR Ren? His hands are quite wide and it bothers me a bit. ^^;; I know my Kid Delf hands don't look right or match. Does anyone know if DOC or any other type work?? Thanks!!
Lengthwise or all around? Because DOC hands are skinny and 'mature' more than chubby like MSDs, or in between like AR hands..
Aren't Souldoll hands pretty small? They look similar to me, but I've never seen either in person, so ... :[
Well his hands are tiny but the palms are very wide. It's hard to explain... the proportions are just off. I like the DOC hands alot and Souldoll as well but I'm concerned about finding a good resin match.
