Angelheim Mini 1/4 doll Discussion: part 1

For Nova, his paws are all pastel, his wings and nails/claws are metallic gold watercolor paint and most of his face up except for eyebrows (watercolor pencil) is also pastel.

I am going to a meet up on Sun so I should have more pics of him. Yay.

Woh I haven't been in here for awhile. HI everyone!! How are you doing?

LuckyXIII: How does Nova pose? I've been looking at Raul ever since they first posted pics of him and might give in and put him on layaway soon. I love the sculpt so much. If I get him he's going to be named Griff. He just looks like a Griff.

Roterwolkenvogel: it was done by BlueEyedSeth here on DoA, but I've since modified it (darkened his eyebrows, added some smokiness around his eyes). He's due for another touch-up, though, I think I'll do that tomorrow. Hey, it'll be an excuse to get more pictures of him, if anything haha.

 

I have a horrendous time posing him in his cat feet even though he's been restrung a few times. The feet aren't very flat so it's a pain to balance him. I have no trouble with him in the human feet. When he has the wings on and the paws, it's harder to pose due to the weight of the wings and the unflatness of the paws.

 

LuckyXIII: Thanks for letting me know. Hhmm... I wonder if the hooves will be better since they are pretty flat on the bottom. If I order Raul he will be having the hooves. I expected him to be a little difficult due to the wings, but hopefully the hooves will be a better support.

And just FYI, pertaining to the current conversation, his hooves are VERY flat, so he stands quite well. The only problem I have is that he keeps leaning forward when I try to stand him up, so I have to push him back each time. But he's new, so I'm thinking it's just the new strings.

I think I'm going to do his face-up myself, so wish me luck!

 

He's beautiful KitsuneClaws!! Congrats on his arrival. I can't wait to see what you do with his face-up and thank you for telling me about his hooves. I was hoping they'd be sturdier. That makes me want Raul even more.

 

Kitsune; my Isac leans forward too but his paws aren't flat either so it makes balancing him hard. I've thought about sanding them a bit but since he is tan, I don't want to get weird coloring even though it's just the bottom of his feet. Also, be sure to post your boy again once you do his face up!

Yeah, I've heard you should never sand a tanned doll, but then again, I'm a n00b. xD Maybe you could do some sculpey on the bottom of his feet in the valleys? Sorta level things out?

I'll be sure to put up pictures of my boy once he's done, but now that it's spring, it's been pretty humid, so I haven't been able to do anything yet. Soon, I hope!

So, despite his rubbed nose, I couldn't help but take Ica (and a bunch of my others actually) out for photos today. "Out" is sort of misleading since we only travelled to my bed where the light was quite nice. KitsuneClaws: I would love to glee with you over our lovely Rauls. I'm currently saving up for him, but the saving is going kind of slow so it will take awhile before I can order him. I'm hoping to have about half of what I need for him within the next month though so that will be awesome. As soon as I do I'm putting him on layaway asap. I will be getting him in tan and I've never had a tan doll nor one with wings or hooves so it's going to be very exciting for me.

And here's a little bit of spam for you guys. Noah has really been enjoying the nice weather we've been having and he'd stay outside all day if I let him. He hates being cooped up indoors.

 

Love the pictures! I am waiting for my yard to dry up before I take any of my bunch outside. If it's not muddy, there is still snow in places.

Well, I ordered and recieved clothes for the twins, I got Infini(Isac) 's shorts on, but Etalois(Raul)'s JINOURMOUS HOOVES didn't like them ;A; so haha, i tried to keep him strung but pull the hooves off-
yeah didn't work. he unstrung, and the elastic took half my thumb nail with it ("MY DOLL TRIED TO KILL ME, HE DREW BLOOD") *cough* he has his human legs on now, after much trouble D:

Last saturday was a faceup meet, I gave Infini my first faceup ever (gahh looks nothing like Arcelle(Ciel)'s factory, but that's to be expected...
Another girl who was there expiramented on Etalois, but she didn't like how it was turning out so she drew a unicorn on his forehead...
He's blank again now (we MSCed whatever like we were supposed to, thank goodness ;P)

all in all they are slowly but surely comeing together... if only I could find a workng camera =A=;

 

I have a request of AH owners! Could somebody, pretty please, measure their AH boy, sans footwear and wig, from top of noggin to toes? I know what the site says in terms of their heights, but I like to triple-check.
