Not as pretty as the old face up... but much more my Noami... I gotta trim her eyelashes but the sun's fading and I wanted to grab a photo while I could...though my camera's not here so it's crappy cell phone pics x-x
Does anyone have a Doll leaves MSD? I'm looking to get one but I'm not sure how he'd fit with my Amy.
Well the point is moot now, I ordered a Dollleaves W hehe I went to a doll meet today. I think she very badly doesn't want to be the wild colorful Naomi that I wanted her to be... instead she wants to be a soft serene woman named Nicolette.... which kind of throws a kink in my plans but such is dollie life right? haha Here's a picture:
She does look soft and serene. And so pretty! Congrats on ordering the DollLeaves, by the way. I used to have a 20 cm Fay and she had an awesome body (it was her face I had issues with, which is why I sold her). Does this mean that the DollLeaves will be Naomi, and your Amy will get a new face-up? Or are you still selling her?
I have no idea what I'm going yet hahaha Oh these dolls huh, minds of their own. If the Ds Wish works well with the Amy I'll keep her... if not... I may keep her anyway... but I don't know yet and I'm letting fate decide for me.
I'm about to wipe her face up and give her one closer to the promo pictures. I looked at her compared to Doll leaves W and they look like they MAY look ok with each other... more tempting! Her resin and body is just so glorious... ETA: Finished her face up. I love how soft it is, she looks so peaceful and innocent... much more what she wanted I think. I LOOOOVED the colourful faceup on her but I can see you think this fits her character more. She looks pretty!
Could I have someone verify this for me? I'm looking to buy Amy, but I'm stuck on this French resin thing. Is it true that by default, the head is transparent and the body is solid? And that by paying extra for "solid", both the head and body are solid? I wouldn't mind if both the head and body were transparent, but I don't like the idea of them aging differently because they are made of different types of resin. I don't want to end up with this issue because I didn't pay the measly $6 extra...
I asked this when I first bought mine. If you get transparent the whole thing is transparent. The way they word it is weird. BTW, the transparent is AMAZING. So beautiful. The pictures of my Amy in the thread is transparent. (the doll above your post. )
This used to be the case, before AS changed their resin colors. Now if you order solid, you whole doll is solid. If you order translucent, the whole doll is translucent. And the rep George, says that all of AS's resins are French. Solid does feel closer to normal resin, to me at least. All AS dolls are beautifully smooth, though. I'm not sure if there is a difference in yellowing between solid and translucent, because my solid dolls from early this year are about a year younger than my translucent ones (which, yes, have yellowed a bit). Although come to think of it... My translucent Bella had already yellowed a bit when my two solid guys arrived. She was the same age then, that they are now and they haven't yellowed at all. So solid might yellow less, but perhaps someone else will be able to verify this?
In case anyone is interested, I made a body review for the 1/4 single jointed body. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCGLJt1XoGU&feature=plcp
That's a pretty good review! I wish it had been around when I was first researching Angel Studio, would've made life so much easier.
