Another person using photos for self-advertizement credit free

She doesn't pretend to be an official dealer, but provides shopping services. There are many people in the Russian speaking community who need help with their order for some reasons (e.g. problems with English, absence of a Paypal account and so on). And it turns out her "help" costs a LOT! From what we've gathered, about 200-300 USD total.

OMG they just posted another picture of mine!!! I'm so sick of this! Seriously, even with thread on DoA and all discussion everywhere, they don't stop!!!!
What else we can do? I gave NO permission! I want all my photos removed from that forum.

Not yet, it seems. She's still in the member list (user name Falconieri1986 - she mentions your Akando in her doll family, Looloo), and she seems to have limited MP access.

 

No, if to speak about Cloude, it was another girl, keake. But I think, that Falconieri is responsible for this case. 'Cause earlier she copied another make-ups from another users, and she extended this practice among newbies. She's very active woman, and newbies are believe in her words.

 

Dear friends, I am an administrator of this community about dolls. I would like to sincerely apologize to all those whose photos were used without permission. I was a mediator, but your photos are not used to advertise my services, only to show how beautiful can doll in the hands of skilled owners.
I'm really worried about this and want to apologize. I'm not making excuses for myself, but sometimes happens that you see beautiful photos, save them, then want to show those people who do not use flickr, but you really don't record the autor name .Please believe me, this is not done with evil intentions.
There are huge number of communities about dolls on this site and others, offering different services, and believe me, they ALL use the photo from flickr.
User jaredkuroshi wrote me that I used her photo without permission, I have removed them at her request.
There's NO 'hidden' albums. There are photo albums with promotional companies pics and, if watch from some mobile devices, it shows ONE system album with pics, which were published on the wall of the community during all the time of community existence and it's not advertising service, but simply a demonstration of doll pics.
Sorry that I haven't asked permission to use them and did not indicate authorship(((( From now, all photos will be approved only with the permission of the authors, indicating the nick name, or just promo pics.
Write me a private message with links to your photos- I will gladly remove them, if you feel that your rights have been violated.

You better do Julia. I'm very disappointed and this kind of situation is ruining the hobby for me and for many of my friends that are fed up of having their pictures used without permission and/ or without giving them any credit for their work.

 

No one should use this as an excuse: "others are doing this too, so I am also allowed to use other hobbyists/artist images without permission as well"

My community first of all was a community of common people in hobbey, and only then, the community where I offered my service. Many people here don't speak English, don't use Flickr and in my community simply gives them the opportunity to see photos of your beautiful dolls and admire them. BTW, perhaps this is not in time, but Looloo, - you cannot even imagine how many fans of your talent there are among members of my community after they watching your pics. You - something like an idol for them.

This is not true.
You might not actively say that people can buy exactly the dolls pictured, but you use these pictures as "click bait".
People see the nice pictures and go through your website, they realize that these dolls can actually be bought through you and you get a customer. Even though you have to explain maybe that they won't look exactly like the ones on the pictures you still got a new buyer, and if it is true that you even ask Iplehouse to copy the face-ups of these dolls it's even worse.

Two wrongs does not make a right.
Just because many people do this it does not change that it is a bad thing to do.

The best thing you can do is to delete ALL pictures now on your website (except the shop photos, because many doll companies are fine with this since it's advertisment) and in future a) either always ask for permission before or b) ALWAYS provide a link back to the original photo incl. the name of the owner.
Saying you can't remember the original owner is a bad excuse because with Google you can nowadays search backwards, i.e. you put the photo into google and google shows you websites that have this picture, if it's on Flickr it is very easy to find.
And if you can't find a source: Don't post it.
It is that easy.

And do not wait for people to ask you to delete the pictures!
Many people can't access VK, don't have an account there or don't know you stole their pictures.
It is not okay to keep their pictures there just because they don't even know that their pictures got stolen.
Delete all of them, now.

Well, how should she know?
You made it impossible for these fans to find back to her without properly crediting her. It's nice people like her stuff, but she doesn't get anything from it if these people never know who actually made this.

No, sure it doesn't means that. I just want to say it's preconception of some members of the Russian-speaking community, who created this topic.
I really had a problem with one of buyers, but at the same time, I have more than 420 positive reviews from people who have ordered dolls - there sre all in my community http://vk.com/topic-28899863_25957612. I've solved the problem with this unhappy customer, and returned her all to every cent. Currently this topic is closed and the client no longer claims to me.

 

If you had asked my permission to use my photos ( with credit = links to original images ) I would have given to you! Same with many of my friends I'm pretty sure most of them wouldn't mind having their pics shared IF they were properly credited. I want this to be clear!

 

Your nothing but a thief and you know it. Don't make excuses for yourself, you've even been caught in screenshots and saying some really nasty things too. There's a copyright law you know and that law is international. You would be best to take down your pictures before someone less lenient decides you need to be banned from both sites. Your not an official dealer, and your upping the prices of these dolls for your so called services.

 

I hope nobody needs to leave the hobby over this. However, ALL the pictures that do not belong to you, Falconieri1986, ought to be deleted right now and only re-posted with the owners' consent and credit and/or links back to them, depending on what they prefer. Not everybody wants their pics be taken down completely, under some circumstances you might be allowed to keep some up - as MadamMauMau said a page back:

In short, take them down, do your research, and if you wish to post a picture from somebody else, ask them. If you can't reach them, or they disagree, or you can't find out who the pic in question belongs to - what Ara said. No permission, no post.

The first word in the title if the group is "Sale". That's it, plain and simple. And I think you know it just like everyone else here.

Does that mean this group will also be closed and/or deleted? Why change the link to the group again, then?

Do not pull your little 'hide the pictures but still keeping them up' trick again.

And if you really are leaving the hobby we'll still be watching.

Also: I get using a device to show someone a pic of a doll briefly, I uploaded my girl's sale's thread picture of my photobucket to show someone what Noah looked like but after they had seen it and replied I deleted it for two reasons; Not my pic, and two: She wasn't yet MINE.

 

Sounds like you use someone famous as an advertisement so you can get more and more orders from members and that "idol of them" doesn't get anything, even better, she doesn't even know that she has this huge fanbase?.. that's laughable.

Delete all pics and buy your own dolls, photograph them and show them to your community if you want to advertise you as a dealer.
