1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. LooLoo, okay, no problem, thanks

I think I've deleted all flickr pics.
If anyone will find any pics - please, PM me

    2. Looking through to see if any left.

    3. Ok, give me links here if you will find anything

    4. I sent PM to Falconieri1986 with pictures i'm not sure about - 5 right now, there are like 20 in question (searching for athours). All the others were deleted from technical album and from the wall.

Does anyone could tell me what she wrote on the pics?[/QUOTE]

if you go on google translate, select Russian to English you'll be able to get an idea of what the comments are about. it's very crude through this translation but you'll get the idea.

    6. I quess, all pics are deleted.
From now I will use only promo pics for my community or will give links to talented flickr autors accounts, no photo.
      Thanks

    7. Ok, pics are deleted. And i hope that Falconieri1986 will really credit authors by links to their pages or original photo.
      This problem is solved.
But there is soon to be more, i'm afraid. And i guess, if there is not yet a thread like one, i will ask admins if thread for art theft issue could be created. Why am i saying this, there are plenty more blogs with your pics, posted and shared with no credit. It's our hobby and we take pictures, we post them to share our dolls, to show our ideas, to show what we do - if it's crafting of any kind. And it's sick people steal, because they think Internet is a freeware store, where you can take everything you see and no one will charge you for that. So if thread like i mentioned will be of any use or help, leave your comments or ideas.

    8. I think people/blogs are bound to share pictures that belong to someone else - there's no stopping it. You won't be able to hunt down all of them. I think watermarks are good because you are basically ensuring the photo is credited to you even if someone doesn't do so when they share your picture. The thing that I don't like is when someone claims the picture as their own, uses the photos to make some sort of profit (in this case as a mediator for buyers) or edits/alters the image in anyway (cropping, using filters, slapping on their own text) without the photo owner's permission.

    9. I was talking exactly about blogs, that advertize sales, mediation. That attract people to use their services with help of pretty pictures.

    10. JadedKuroshi, thank you so much for bringing to my attention that my photos were stolen, too.

I have no problem with people sharing my pictures on Tumblr, blogs, etc., if they are being shared as *art* and they have *credit and a link to my Flickr* . . . but it is sickening to see someone using personal photos to advertise a commercial shopping service.

(Particularly since there are known issues of face-up copying and lack of attribution associated with her -- to a newbie in the hobby, they would think Falconieri had something to do with creating those dolls and those images.)

I'm especially disappointed because Falconieri was -- until now, I've just removed her -- on my Flickr contacts list, and I enjoyed her original photos of her dolls . . . well, I guess I'm assuming they're hers, since my trust in her is broken. There was no need to steal anyone else's images when she was clearly capable of creating her own!

Sharing without attribution doesn't make someone a "fan," it doesn't do anything for the original artist/creator, it enables identity thieves to steal other people's work, and it actually prevents the original artist from getting recognition for their own work.

If someone genuinely loves someone else's dolls or art or photography or anything else, the way to show that is to *link to their original site/post/image*, and to provide appropriate written credit.

Reblogging things can be enjoyable -- I love Tumblr, I share things I like/appreciate -- but I *always* do a Google Image Search if something has been reblogged without attribution, so that I don't continue the cycle of "sharing" without giving credit.

While it certainly happens that sometimes it's impossible to locate the original artist, such a claim is laughable in cases like this -- when you're taking screenshots of an image, you're *on the original page*, and could be asking for permission and/or reposting with proper credit. There is simply no excuse for doing otherwise.

And people who use others' work for commercial gain (as Falconieri did here, advertising her shopping service and blog) are really low -- it's bad enough to take the work of hobby artists, but to also take the work of people who create for a living means that you are *literally taking money from their pockets*, because people who see the "shared" images have no idea where to go in order to legitimately purchase products or services from the original creators.

Mods, is Falconieri1986 going to have any action taken against her regarding the photo theft? It would be nice to have some kind of a warning that she is a sketchy trader and was busted for this action -- I see that there is a limited MP restriction in place, but people who don't check out her profile won't know it's there, since there is nothing listed under her username if she's attempting to initiate transactions.

      -- A :/

    11. Well, it's insulting to hear from you, Ashbet, that "I enjoyed her original photos of her dolls . . . well, I guess I'm assuming they're hers, since my trust in her is broken".
It's my pics of my dolls, yes.
Some people said I'm rather good in taking pictures and I love it.
I am very worried about what has happened and I want to assure you that I didn't intend to offend anyone. I am not a thief, as evidenced by the fact that I immediately removed all photos when I was asked about it.
I apologize to all whose photos has been used. I really thought that so I'm just telling about the beauty of BJD dolls to people, and not just offer to buy THE SAME dolls or advertise my service. I guess I was wrong.
If you moderators decided to do this, they can write in my profile anything they want. I am very rarely on DOA and other doll forums now, I found out this topic because I've received a link)

    12. I'm so sorry guys! This seems to be such a problem. People keeping stealing pictures from BJD collectors!

    13. ...you stole FOUR THOUSAND doll photos for your forum, to advertise your shopping service, without providing credit to the original creators, and you're "insulted" about being called out on it? Wow, that's some nerve.

Given that it took a ton of widespread publicity, multiple group name changes on your part, amd banning of members who objected to photo theft, you'll have to forgive me for finding your "apology" and claims of innocence/misunderstanding/reform to be insincere.

Also, now that you have disseminated all of these stolen images, they're now popping up on other Russian doll forums -- I was just informed yesterday that the photos of mine that you stole are now visible on yet another group, causing ongoing harm.

    14. Yep I'm thinking this gal's not truthful. =A=

    15. This is like saying "yeah I stole the an item from the store but once I was caught I brought the item back into the store...so we're all good now, yes?" Uh no.

Fortunately for me my photos are to crappy for anyone to want to steal but seeing many of my Flickr friends' stuff used in such a manner and then the person doing it claiming innocence is beyond irritating. Personally, I think a full DOA member ban (not just marketplace) is in order but of course that is up to the mods.

    16. Hmm. It's your problem that you do not trust nobody. Sometimes people say the truth and sincerely regret.
I've received about 5 PM's of support here on DOA from people who think differently about what has happened and all these people said that they don't mind if i will use their pics anyway I want. Actually, I don't want now ANY photos, except mine and of my close friends.
      Goodbye.

    17. Not her fault that you broke the trust she had in you. Once trust is gone it is rarely ever given back.

    19. Hello, I'm joining at a late time. I was very intrigued by this and did some further research and I discovered more images being "taken".

      http://vk.com/ubjdoll

I saw a few of mine and A LOT of Ringdoll's images are on this site.

Looloo, your Ringdoll video is also on this forum and if you scroll down further, some of your Frankenstein images are up along with mine (some are credited to you, but others aren't).

How do you go about in contacting them to remove or credit the artist in that site?
