1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Mine are in the "they're okay" category, but really it's more like "it depends."

      I'm extremely happy with the sculpts I've chosen, and I like everybody's bodies. As far as actual resin is concerned, we're pretty well set. But I'm eternally struggling to find the right wigs for my boys (doesn't help that I have no earthly idea how to style/cut wigs). And more than that, it's like...I can't quite seem to figure out my own aesthetic? Like, for the clothing especially. The boys have some EXTREMELY eclectic styles because I just...Don't know what I want to dress them in. So I'm very much trying to refine that at the moment.

      But I'm not unhappy with them. It doesn't really frustrate me (well. the clothes part doesn't. the wig part is definitely frustrating.) that I'm having trouble styling them. I really enjoy sewing for them, and I'm very slowly starting to figure out where my tastes are gravitating, and that's honestly a lot of fun!

      I do find myself envying collectors who really seem to have nailed a certain aesthetic and all their dolls look like showpieces...But who DOESN'T envy talent like that, at least to some extent?

      Styling, whether for dolls or for people, is definitely a skill. I'm working steadily towards improving my grip on it, but it's hard to even know where to begin sometimes. Hard to tell what I don't like about the overall look when I like all the individual pieces. I wish I could find a book on the subject, lol. ^^;

    2. I'm overall satisfied with my collection. A lot of my dolls are dressed and look how I want them to. However, I still have quite a few that need to be worked on: face-ups needed, clothes, etc.

    3. Currently my two have wigs on the way, that I hope will at least be able to by styled the way I'm thinking, but otherwise have no outfit until I find the courage to get things to make them or cave and find someone to commission from. Also trying not to get the next doll until these two are complete. Not satisfies lol but thats life :sumomo:

    4. By 'a few tweaks', it would mean redo everything from the wig to outfit to props to my photography skill. Whenever I look at my doll I feel really pleasant. But deeply in my heart I know I have more elaborate plans: wigs in the same color but with better styles, outfits of the same style but decorated with accessories better connected to the background story. It would be a huge project. Not sure if I shall call it good luck or bad luck, since my doll looks 'acceptable' now, I am not that compelled to do it.
