I ordered my Shine through MoC...wow, almost two years ago now O_O It took roughly six months. Hope that helps.
Hi to the new comers ^^ .. Congratulations for getting an AE doll or planning to get one ! These dolls are super adorable . For me BlueBerry is not cute but also innocent ! This is my Melanie saying hi to Daeriel & Yumiupcakes&dolly : Enchanting memories by Çho¢o ~ ♡, on Flickr Oh dear LemonLime ~ all bjds take long time to arrive ^^ .. So usually it is a 30 - 60 business days waiting and it differ between companies ! Good luck on your wait. I think it is the best if you try to figure out her clothes, look and if you are handy, sew for her! That will keep you occupied
Whoaaa six months. I thought three months was my limit, LOL. I don't know. I feel like I would lose the spark of excitement with a wait that long. I guess at least I know if I ever pre-order another AE from MoC what kind of a wait I can expect. XD Yeesh.
Six months is a long time to wait but at least it gives you time to get a whole wardrobe together for them! Chocoang31, your Blueberry is really pretty! I hope to add a blueberry to my collection some day. I love all the minis, they all seem sweet and innocent. It is hard to pick just one! I discovered my daughter had some 11mm Eyeco eyes so I tried them in my Cordelia: They actually look better than I would have thought although the slightly larger 12mm might make her look younger which is the look I was going for.
animagic4u, your Terra is gorgeous! I love the color of her wig; it contrasts so nice with her eyes. I am always on the look out for auburn, burgundy, and wine wigs. Where did you get her's if you don't mind my asking?
Chiisaichi, your Pear is so pretty! I just love her expression, it is such an elegant sculpt I think. I also have a romantic eye and regular eye Yara in the process of getting new face-ups. My RE Yara is older; the default face-ups back then were nothing compared to current ones. Here is a not so great shot of her in her original face-up. animagic4u, I forgot to ask what sculpt is Terra? I was thinking she looked a bit like my open eyed Yara yet not quite...
I got mine blank and they look so different without a face-up. I really like the look of your Terra, I can't wait to see more of her!
Gah! Everyone's dolls are so gorgeous! I really love your Pear, chiisaichi. Unfortunately, my transaction fell through, so I will not be bringing home a Lemon at this point in time. Hopefully it won't be too long before I can own one, though. Her, and a Pear. I've just fallen in love with the Pear sculpt, particularly thanks to this thread.
Anarwyn - Thank you ! I love her more after I enhanced her face up. Her original face up is natural but doesn't define her face but once I worked on it, I can't believe how lovely she is ! I think AE molds are all beautiful as well, it is very hard to buy one and be done. I own 2 face plates and I think that is amazing as I feel I can bring any doll around when I want. Oh, my dolls wear 14mm eyes because I think 12 is too small. Animagic4u - Ah! I could tell this photo gave me no clue who she is ! She looks mature ! I love that neck line, what body she has ? Chiisaichi - Pearl know how to pose .. what a gorgeous girl ! Anarwyn - Your Yara looks amazing. I need to look at AE other sculpts, I truly didn't notice some Daeriel - Awww .. I am so sorry this happened to you! I got my AE from the Chinese blog if you are interested, though MOC are way better priced. Mine was very expensive to regular prices and that's why I'd never sell her. Want to share a big news : I wasn't happy with Lemon face up so I end up wiping it all off and applying a new one ! I also filmed it so you can see what I did : http://youtu.be/MhCjMoBc0Us And here is a photo of her after I finished : New Lemon by Çho¢o ~ ♡, on Flickr
Omg such pretty girls! My poor pear has changed characters so many times only to return to her first one, Galene Only I changed my rp character's hair color, so she has green now like her father. She's on a temp body cuz I wanna get her a new one.
Amazing face-up on your Lemon Chocoang31, she is stunning! I enjoyed your video also. Did you use blush and water color pencil on her brows and bottom lashes or paint? I have my two Yara heads blushed and ready for brows and lashes but I am not an artist so have been practicing different methods on another head first. AmiSi, your Pear, Galene, is very pretty! That hair color goes looks really good on her. I love her look in that photo. My dolls often change characters from what I thought I originally wanted them to be. Sometimes even after I have them for awhile.
Thanks a lot everyone ^^ .. ChronicallySpaced * Daeriel * AmiSi * Anarwyn ! You are very supportive and I appreciate your feedbacks ^^. I've been scared to try that as it was my first official face up from a blank head. I only enhanced face ups before, done it around 7 times or so. But it is only my AE dolls that I enhanced with fixed results which I am proud of ! They truly grew up to be more as I want them to be . SO gorgeous, cute and much more with a character. Before, I couldn't feel a character in my girls because they were so plain to me. AmiSi - your girl is beautiful and I understand what you are going through because I also wasn't satisfied with my AE dolls before but now, I am very happy with them. Your girl is gorgeous and I'd love to see more photos of her. Anarwyn - Thanks again! I only used the materials I showed in the beginning which is : Pastel chalks and water pencils. I think the most good advice I can give you is to do it gradually. I think my video wasn't showing it all [as it was very hard to hold the head close to your face to draw the lines, while camera is filming without creating shadows and making it very hard to see] but it did come gradually. And I did have to use multi-colors to achieve the color I want. Layers is the only way to make the color tense and before I didn't understand this and was always wondering why it looks so pale and so fake but after trying to build it up, it does make sense now. I used to draw eyebrows before when I practiced and then face but I found that very hard as when you finish drawing the eyes, you can then define the shape / place of the brows while if opposite you will have to make expectation how the look will be and you might fail it. Sharing a photo of my Lemon in sun light. The photos I took of her earlier were all in my laundry room in fake lights as I have no white lights and it was night because I wanted a cool weather. This is her in the sun : We love Sun ::full view:: by Çho¢o ~ ♡, on Flickr
