    5. Hello,

      My Asleep Eidolon Mermaid Ula arrived today and she's gorgeous!

      She's my first ever Resin BJD(Up to now I've only had Dollfie Dreams) but I'm having problems with the Tail Fin and the seashell bras. There's a large S hook at the bottom of her tail and the tail fin has a small S hook so I have no idea how to connect it :/
      Also the seashell bras won't stay on, how am I suppose to keep them on? I have ear plug silicone but won't that hurt the Resin?

      Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    6. AlluringMermaid, if I remember correctly you have to take the S hook off and connect the small S hook directly to the string. The big S hook is just there as a place holder.

      As for the bras, I believe most people used a little bit of eye putty. Mine was a guy so I didn't have any bras to worry about. I'm sorry I can't say about the ear plugs so I couldn't say.

      How do you take the large S hook off the tail? Won't the string sling back? Is it held by something other than the large S hook?

    8. The S hook is the only thing holding the string where it is so 1st: hook the small S hook to the elastic. 2nd, while holding on to the fin firmly, gently remove the large S hook. Hold the fin carefully and firmly because as soon as you remove the large S hook the elastic will try to recoil into the doll (as the large S hook was the only thing holding it in place). You may want someone to do that part for you while you hang on to the fin with one hand and the tail with the other. 3rd gently allow the elastic, with the small S hook and fin attached, to draw itself back up into the tail and arrange the fin to sit properly. Be careful as to me the small piece of resin that is currently holding the large S hook from going into the tail seems too thin and liable to crack if you just let the fin go after pulling the S hook off. At least one person's mermaid arrived with this thin resin piece already cracked. In my opinion it should really be at least twice as thick as it actually is.

    9. Hi all!
      I'm the happy new owner of a Lorelei that I purchased on the Marketplace here. She just arrived today! Not sure how I am going to style her yet; I have a stash of wigs but I don't like any of the ones I have here at home once I put them on her so I need to do some wig shopping. Not a fan of the default acrylic eyes she has either so a new pair of eyes will be ordered too. She's got the light pink tail so I don't know if I want to keep her eyes and wig in pinkish hues or do something different. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

      As for keeping the shell bras in place, putty is a good idea and I have also notices that the bras have really tiny openings at the tops; possibly just large enough to thread some transparent fishing line through that could be tied or knotted behind the neck or back.

    13. My Lorelei arrived today! I must say in person she is really beautiful! Dark Blue was definitely the way to go for me!
      Putting on her tail was a pain to do by myself but got it on! But the sides fins love to fall off...Ears were kinda hard to get in and I don't think I'll be taking those out anytime soon :sweat
      Overall I'm in love with her :D Now to just get her other wig back from one of my other girls who's claimed it for her own..

    15. I saw a message from Mint on Card saying that AE was going to start shipping dolls with tails not attached so as to minimize the chances of damage during shipping. Was yours shipped that way?

      The ears were a challenge for me at first too...I took her head cap off and removed the bits of putty anchoring them from the inside and then saw that when you line the tiny notches in the ears up with the ear holes in the head they become easier to remove. Mine don't stay in place too well without the putty though so once I've decided on a wig for her I'm going to re-secure the ears with the putty.

    16. Yup she was sent with her fins off. Just a big S hook at the end of the tail. One of the ears I got locked into place well but I did try to use putty on the other and it didn't stay too well either.

      Next thing to try is to get her on the human body...

    17. Yanagi, thats weird. That is not really "unstrung." At least, not unless all the first dolls were sent unstrung as well. :? Because thats exactly how mine came. With his tail attached, a big S hook at the bottom and all the fins and such wrapped separately. My understanding, from the MOC site, is that the tail would actually come wrapped separately, in pieces, just like the fins and other accessories. I wonder how many people, believing that to be the case, have hesitated to order? I know there are some people terrified of having to restring a doll, especially if its their first.

      As for the ears I learned that there is a "right" ear and a "left" ear. Sometimes the ear fits better in one or the other. Not sure why since they seem exactly the same. And mine didn't come with putty for the ears. Hmm, maybe have to try that. Whenever I'm rearranging his wig the ears shift and move around. It would be nice if they didn't. I'll have to get some putty to put in the ears. ^_^

    20. Does anyone have pics of Ula with her factory faceup?Also any orange tails yet?

      I ordered an Ula with an orange glitter tail and a Cordelia with an aqua glitter tail.:)

      Its been a VERY long wait..probably my longest to date.

      I am naming my Ula "Siren" and I am naming my Cordelia "Lorelei"..LOL!

      I am supposed to be part of the September Shipment,but I still have two more payments to go,and my last payment is due in November.

      Just out of curiosity,is anyone else expecting a mermaid in the September shipment???
