1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Associating with "taboo" people in the BJD community?

Dec 15, 2016

    1. Personally I think you should do what you want. Its your doll, your money and your choice and while many will complain those same people wont do it for you or pay for you to have whatever it is by someone they prefer thus rendering anything they have to say as pointless as the rain drop on your windshield.

I will say this hobby had a LOT of judgmental people. They will spout criticism for the dolls you like, the eyes you picked, the stories you make, the wig you got for them all the way down to their name just about. So if you are someone who worries a lot about your public image you may want to be careful. If not then just do what you want.

    2. Personally I would avoid any seller with a bad reputation. Whether it be buying a doll, a car or any other merchandise. I consider that as helpful as any other reviews when making a decision to buy.

    3. I would guess it would matter if you wanted to be isolated from other members of the community or if you wouldn't mind a distaste to linger for your own wants and desires.
People who are banned from a group are done for a reason.

    4. I bought a head that was banned from DOA, I was a bit sad but I can still post her somewhere else. As long as the person isn't a scammer or recaster it should be fine. If someone has drama but you like their products it's fine to buy them.
There's this person who makes great clothes bt they scammed so many people so I won't buy from them.

    5. I don't generally follow personal hobby gossip, aside from reading reviews of bad customer service and scamming and such, so I'll avoid those people obviously. But if it's because of some other issue with a person I usually don't know about that sort of thing.

    6. As long is the person in question is not a scammer, a thief, or someone doing something criminal, I don’t see why their work as an artist should be judged as well. Unfortunately a lot of talented artists have had issues, some small, some big, in the past. But if they’ve changed their ways, then why not give them a shot and enjoy their work?
