1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

"Attachment to Inanimate Objects".

Jul 11, 2009

    1. To make a long story short: I get extremely attached to inanimate objects.

I think behind all of this, the reason I get attached to inanimate objects because I name them. If something has a name it means it has a personality and some kind of story to go with it, that's how I feel about it anyway. So my dolls are naturally no exception. They often have a name and story before I even get them and the more time a spend with them developing those stories the closer I get to them.

I feel I should also note, like a lot of people here I'm a borderline hoarder. Though in the last few years I've gotten better at getting rid of things. But I still have about 4 giant plastic tubs of stuffed animals and quite an extensive collection of Barbies, Bratz, MyScene, etc. But I do plan on selling some of them when I finish University. I don't think it will be easy but that money will go towards my other hobbies.

    2. I've always been attached to inanimate objects. If I see or touch something that catches my eye, I always imagine the process it took to create and the idea from which it originated from. When I was little, I loved stuffed animals and whenever I saw one that appealed to me the most I felt like I needed to 'rescue' it from the store and give it a safe home. I still have a lot of stuffed animals from my childhood all packed away in multiple boxes. They take up a lot of room but I just can't get myself to donate them or pass them down to my niece and nephew.

    3. I definitely have attachments to certain inanimate objects. Things that have meaning to me are more special. As my bjds are all representations of characters (both original and non original) that I love then they are very important to me.

    4. I totally get attached to inanimate things, specially dolls and other stuff with which I interact a lot, like my game consoles, my books, old stuffed animals...
I can't believe people who buys a game, plays it and then sells it to buy another (O.o) When I spend a great time with something (game, book, doll, it doesn't matter) I can't let it go.
