Avatar-afraid to change it?

I remember and identify people by their name mostly. However I do also tend to associate people with their avatar as well, so it kind of throws me a little, at first, when someone changes their avatar.

Plus, I miss some of the avatars when they get changed.
The ones that were really clever or funny, and the ones that were especially pretty or cute.

I'm not afraid to change mine, I just don't want to because I like that picture so much. ^_^
It's the real me, the way I visualize myself, only a sort of animated version of course.

I depend on other people's avatar and sig to recognise them, but I never think twice about changing mine :P

 

I change my avatar quite a lot.. ahaha.. i tend to remember people by their usernames, signatures or the dolls they own though.

 

I usually remember the name and i love to see the changes of the avatar. You can see many side of the user if you see all the avatar it changes ^_^

 

I actually remember certain users from their avatar pics more than the usernames but there are some people I remember usernames aswell, my memory is so bad.

 

I recognise people mostly by avatar and their signatures. ^^

 

I think I have only ever had two avatars on this forum, the one I currently have not having changed in probably two years >_<

 

I always think that I'd like to change mine, but I've grown attached to it. ~_~ We were actually talking at a meet about how it'd be nice to have ID tags for everyone with their avatars on them so that we would know who he person was. XD

 

I too remember people by signature. I change my avatar mothly, knowing I allways make a better one...as for frineds, I remember both avatar and name, and if I should forget, they are on my buddy list:P

 

i dont change it because i'm lazy you've got to find a new pic and photoshop it etc :p and also just in case somebody might not find me xD

 

I remember names, rarely avatars too. It's the same irl, I don't remember people until they tell me their names x) So go ahead, change your avatars

 

Avatars are just fluff to me, kinda like web ads... No offense, everyone. So I often resort remembering members' names.

 

I remember mostly avatars and that so like 'what the heck?' when they change theirs. I changed mine and a few ones were disconcentered about that xD

 

The avatar is helpful to me because it easier to tell the difference right away between users that have similar usernames. And it sometimes, makes it easier to find someone on the member list if you can't remember how to spell their username. I am not completely dependent on the avatars but they help a lot.

 

It throws me at first when a person I see frequently changes their avatar, but I adapt.

 

Though I most always remember usernames, I more often pay attention to avatars.. so. XD I probably won't change mine for ages anyway- I generally keep my icons on sites teh same for a long time, for no particular reason.

 

I'm horrible with names, great with faces. So, it's not too surprising that I use Avatars over usernames to remember people. I can't help it. A picture is much quicker to look for and recognize than text is.
(I very rarely if ever change avatars anywhere. once I have it, it sticks.)

 

Names is what I remember most, the avatar pics can change. I think I only changed mine 3 times....I'll stick with this one for now my Narae and D1 Zen are in my avatar.
