Hey there. I've just order my 1st BJD off ebay and was wondering whether anyone else had ordered a doll off Jack (renaissancefashion) and what are the face-ups like. Are the dolls good quality. I'm so excited and can't wait till I get Sapphira

 

I own a bg sky type one [modded]. ^^ and the possability is really bad XD his neck was SO long, and his hands..well U_U I sanded the neck, and change his hands for a delf ones :O , and I modded his head too, but the body, still have a very limited posability. ^^ Anyway, if you just want a doll for sitting on a stand...XD is a good option. ♥

 

I get a Freya in renaissancefashion store (on ebay) and was amazingly fast, you can choose for a face up from the B&G company or a "basic" face up from another artist (I choosed the "basic" face up and is BEAUTIFUL). Freya is my first BJD and I'm not an expert in that matter but the material looks very good and smooth, no mold marks and nothing bad with my girl. The outfits that renaissancefashion include in the box was very cool outfits. Possability? welll as I told ya I haven't try another BJD, I did some sueding (hot glue) and now she pose very well.

so i own a lot of B&G dolls...and ive noticed something recently as i got a new body for one of my floating heads who was actually borrowing a body from B&G Morant owned by my roommate. the body i got was NS as was Morant...and theyre different colors. drastically. it still matches my head...so its not that big a deal, its just a bit off, but i noticed this with the WS too. i got an afra head about a month or so ago on a girls body...the body was intended for my Sapphira ive had since last year...the older B&G doll is yellowish white, the new one is a tad pinker...

so anyway, my whole point to this is, did they change the color of their resin and i missed it?? or are they just going towards inconsistency like some other companies?

i guess if no one else has noticed this its no big deal...but im wondering now if bodies and heads will match coming from the same place...because my roommate recently wiped her morant head...and it does not match the body.

so yeah...just wondering...XD

 

I am the owner of the Morant....and we reciently wiped his face to give him a new one....and now that all of the blushing is gone that b&g put on him, his head and his body are different colors. I don't think it will show up in pictures...expecially since he clothes...but when he doesn't have clothes on...he is a differnt color for sure!

 

So I've been considering getting a B&G Aurora but I wanna know more about the bodies... is it worth the extra money for a type 3 body? or should I go with the type 2 body? what is the difference?

 

Hello I Have an b&g Afra the wig from koolkat outfit's from dollmore and lut's fit the best and HZ fit's Verry well to. easy to work on and poses verry nicely better than my Chiwoo and MY Woosoo.
8-9 wig is best I have to many web sites to list of what fits and what does not any ? please pm me as i talk to Jack a lot

 

Bumping this a bit from dormancy - Has anyone recently bought a B&G doll from Jack (renaissancefashion) on Ebay? I posed a question about the auction for Afra a while ago and haven't received a response - sometimes sellers get a little busy and don't have time to answer a question right away which is understandable. The auction says that free eyes and an outfit will be included. Is this still ongoing? I've run into similar situations, where something is offered as special with the auction, only to find out that the seller inadvertently forgot to take the special off the auction description when it expired.

Jack is an excellent vendor and he will honor anything in his listing even if it is there by accident, although I do think the deal is still valid so you shouldn't have a problem. And I've always had good communication with him too. Good luck with your afra!

 

I had a bit of a difficult time finding this thread... I apologize if my question has been addressed elsewhere.

I was just wondering - what is the difference between Sky type 1 and Sky type 2? I can't tell by B&G's (lack of) promo pictures. Are the face sculpts actually different? If so... could the two types together pull off being twins? Is type 1 discontinued?

I'm not referring to the body types.

Any and all help would be appreciated!

 

I was wondering about something, so here's a little question for those who own B&G girls:

Since B&G doesn't sell high heel feet, what company did you get them from instead?

I bought a girl and really want her to be able to wear highheels so I'd be interested to hear what would fit them?

 

I think vampireangel13 had a B&G/CP Delf hybrid at one point, but I don't know if the Delfs have high heel feet. I know the Luts Super Delfs have high feet, but the Super Delfs are actually a different doll line with different resin. I would imagine that since it is just feet you could probably just blush them if the resin match isn't the best.

 

I was also wondering about the Girls. There are now 3 types of SD bodies. I found what seems to be type 2 on DDE (Pics) but can't seem to find any pics of type 3. Anyone here have any info? Please.
At least two of the local ladies here have bought from RenaissanceFashion and had a real good experience with him.

I have also bought from Jack on ebay. I have a type 1 and 2 Freya. The type 2 body is a MAJOR improvement to the type 1 body. from what I have heard about the new type 3 body is that is relatively the same except the have double jointed elbows and knees for better posing and I think the male dolls were made slightly more mature or muscular. I have yet to see pictures of them yet. I'm considering upgrading both of my girls to type 3 bodies if this is true tho.

 

Ravyn42, I am so jealous of your two Freyas. I've wanted one for so long, but she always got put behind other dolls. Now that Junkyspot has that one on sale, I really want her, but I don't have the money for her now. T_T You should spam a pic of them together so I can see their pretty faces!

 

I've been Soomed, but I'm doomed by B&G. They've revamped their faceups and put out all these new sculpts. I bought a third- or fourth-hand B&G Hera (41cm) because I was so impressed by the quality of the doll. That doll stands and poses like a rock!! I can't wait to get my hands on an 60cm as well as a 26cm kid. I'm in love with three of the new SD sculpts; Grenville, Elf-Afra and Siannodel. BUT, I want the Elf-Afra and Grenville on female bodies. I'm waiting for an answer from them on how I can order these heads on female bodies. They've said in their News thread that heads and bodies can be purchased alone also. But they don't make note of how.

 

I think you can just email their rep to work it out that what I'm to get a head for my boy. (wish they'd sell some the new outfit they got the dolls in *hearts*)
