Thank you Wilkies. Now i just have shoes to chase (wondering if shoes from Facets by Marcia would fit, any idea ?)
I also have a Deepti. At 36cm she is a little smaller than Sadhana, so technically she belongs in the Tiny doll discussion threads. I haven't found a thread for her, only for a smaller size doll. According to her head size (11.5cm) she should wear a 4-5 wig; however, both of my Monique size 4-5 wigs pop off her head and have way too much hair for the size of her face. I ended up making her wig. Actually, I made two--the first one didn't work. I found shoes at Facets by Marcia. Both pairs are for 16-inch fashion dolls and are a wee bit long for her; I made insoles from a thin foam material and that helps. I haven't found clothing yet. I crocheted the blue dress she is wearing from lace weight cashmere thread. Here is my girl. Face-up, wig and dress by me.
Thanks. I made the wig from Lion Brand Homespun acrylic yarn in a color mix call Tudor. I deconstructed it to remove color sections I didn't want--they'll become other wigs. The actual color is not quite as saturated as it appears in the photo, but it's not quite as pale as it appears in the photo below (which also shows one pair of shoes I bought from Facets by Marcia).
Sadhana on the old body. They are so slender and thin, it’s so difficult to dress them beautifully. My snow princess. Spoiler: Pfoto
I'll add new pic of my Deepti (trousers and top has bee made by @dollfason and dress, sweetshirt and robe I sew by myself but with pattern that I bought for her) https://flic.kr/p/2iSoJxy https://flic.kr/p/2iSoJxP https://flic.kr/p/2iSoJxU
I've been trying different styles, so here is a quite modern street style (and yes, outfit is Ken's BMR 1959) https://flic.kr/p/2j5wNgX And this one is just for fun https://flic.kr/p/2j5uacY
I recently got a secondhand Deepti! So thought I'd share some photos. She's extremely pretty and easy to photograph. (Milky tan resin) Mei and I made the kimono out of vintage kimono silk, and handdyed and hand folded the silk flowers in her hair. The wig is from SophyMolly, but we actually pulled out the elastic around the circumference and secured in place with some putty. Spoiler: More Photos: Comparisons and other outfits next to Popovy Sisters Little Owl in sand resin. in all black. and in her nightgown. look at the beautiful faceup she came with.
I had the privilege of acquiring Ayatana and Sadhana from a good friend of mine to join my Pooja in my collection. I’m wondering if I need Deepti to complete the set…
