Make that 4 in Australia, I ordered a pink Blip on the day of the announcement.... so excited anybody else ordered a Blip? I would've like to get a machina with a helmet but the cat ears are cute.
Meeeee, I ordered Blip in white! I can't express how excited I am! I knew I wanted a Mini Machina since before Batchix even finished making the original, haha. However until now, due to moving (twice!), I haven't had the money at the right time. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, because I adore Blip so much. I was super tempted to get one in pink, because- coloured resin~ But I ended up going for white, because I think I can do more with her. Haven't settled on a name yet, or a concrete personality or design, but I have some ideas. I've already got some glowing orange eyes from Ersa Flora. I DO know she's going to be Cybertronian, since I'm a huge transformers nerd. At least the wait leaves me some time to figure all this out. Names are so hard!
Here is Zee and Blip at the KBJD Show. Zee and Blip are both showing off their new Oscar Eyes (AWESOME EYES!!!!). Zee also thinks that she needs a pal and that I need to get Blip. *sigh*
I can't wait for Blip to start shipping, I feel like modding my other dolls into cyborgs or have robotic parts. Oscar Eyes are awesome but they are really hard to order online because they sell out fast. The urethane eyes I bought for Blip is now going to another doll so I need to look for new eyes again.
For those curious, I asked Batchix about what size elastic the Mini Machina girls use. She told me 3mm for the body/legs and 1.5mm for the arms. Might be helpful on the front page? I've never seen it written down anywhere. Once my MSC and extra elastic gets here, I'll have everything ready for my girl. Aside from settling on a name.... Skyeallowway: what doll is that on the far right? He's got a pretty neat body sculpt!
Hi there~ I have a Delta named Alita. She's going to end up representing how the human brain works. My Boyfriend and I own her half and half (Batchix was selling a white Delta she had left over a couple months ago on tumblr so we jumped on it!) but our favorite colours are blue and green so I've been trying to think of how to incorporate that into her design. She's still blank right now but I plan to do half of her body green, the other half blue (the lines, and a little blushing) while the face up would have the same colours but on the opposite sides, so like how the right side of the human brain controls the left side of the body her colours would represent that. I'm not quite sure about the rest of the face up but I was thinking some very light black eye shadow and maybe gold lips to match her helmet, although more than likely her lips are going to be a marbled mix of blue and green not quite sure yet since I don't even know if I want to keep the helmet (although I am pretty sure I'm the last person to get one before she switched to the ears) I feel happy having some people to share this with, but I also have a question for everyone. What size of wig did you guys have to get for her? I know it's smaller than a yo-sd wig (1/8) so would she be a 1/12? I'm having a hard time finding a wig for her considering I don't even know what size I should be looking at.
Hi Kiotaro, congratulations on getting Alita! She sounds like she'll be really cool! My Delta wears a standard 5/6 wig like for Pukifee. I got her a Monique Gold 5/6 and it fit pretty good.
@Kiotaro: Their head measurement is 5,5, so she takes 5-6 inch wigs (for example Leeke and Luts offer this size). ^^ I like her name. Reminds me of the GUNNM manga series that I really like. Please show her to us once you have done the coloring. I'd really love to see that. ^^
Thanks, I'm still not to sure about wig sizes and stuff like that even though I've been in the hobby for a couple years now. I was not expecting her head to be so tiny when I got her but I will hopefully be able to get her a wig soon. @Laoky: Actually! My boyfriend mentioned a manga when we were picking out her name. In fact I'm pretty sure GUNNM is the Japaneses name for Battle Angel Alita, which is quite honestly where we got the name. He was like "Hey I read this manga and the characters name was Alita and she was a robot" and I liked the name so that's why we went with it hehe. But I'll be sure to come back and show her off once I get her done. Just need some money and to get my hands on some MSC first. Thank you for the replies guys~
That is a Souldoll Souloid body. I'm not sure what head is on the body. It doesn't look like Iraki (which I have). The Souloid body is larger end MSD sized - about 48cm.
My guess would put him as a Souloid An...though I could be completely wrong, it's hard to tell sometimes with company pictures.
