1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Because of you... The bright side of doll life

Jul 17, 2013

    1. I have learned how to use my camera better, and continue to learn more about photography every day. I have learned how to meet new people and not be quite so terrified. I have learned how having a hobby can bring one such joy and happiness. I have learned to be honest and fair, and to accept myself and others for who they are. I love this hobby so much. It has brought me so much happiness and peace.

    2. I've gotten much better at my sewing, which has improved markedly at dolly size and people size! My skill in doing my own makeup has also improved vastly (seriously, after doing a faceup on a pukipuki, suddenly my face seems enourmous and so much easier to work on!), I've gotten better at photography, I've improved my organisation (I decided that of the....8-10 crafting hobbies I had that took up so much crafting space, I'm only keeping sewing and BJDs, and it isn't even hard! I've so much more fabric and doll space, it's amazing!), and I've made friends.
On a more personal note, my dolls have helped a lot with my mental health - I've now got friends who live on a shelf in my sewing room, and when I'm down I can go and sit and talk to them, and it's helped a lot with my brain gremlins.

    3. I'm learning tons of new skills, and meeting a whole bunch of really neat people! oVo

    4. For starters I've made so many friends through this hobby, which has led to lots of exploring Japan and extra things outside the doll hobby. Aside from that I've always loved art and I'm really enjoying learning how to face up dolls myself! This hobby also led me to buy a nice-ish camera and learn more about photography. It's been such a rewarding hobby, aside from the price tag of course ^o^

    5. I've become a much more sociable person because of Nadeko, I've also been trying to work on improving my photography skills so I can better portray her cuteness and I'm trying to learn to sew so I can make her clothes.
I also learned to like dolls because of BJDs
