I haven't heard anything since the '2 week' message either. I was reframing from contacting Anu again, i imagine we'd be told the same thing (Shipping will happen as soon as possible). But I will ask her for a status check on HDM on behalf of all of us waiting if you'd like and post her reply here.

I wrote to Anu a while ago, around the time she went away for a couple days, asking if I could buy jeans and dress slacks for Bermann, in hopes that they could be shipped with him. I never heard back. Unfortunately, I can't order anything on Tensiya - my machine never has worked with that system....so I can't just go ahead and order them, and there doesn't seem to be any other way to do so. I didn't ask about HDMB, though...I didn't want to pester her. Instead, I come on here and whine! :grin:

 

Anu is such a perfectionist and it shows in the quality of her dolls. I think she wants the Hu die Meng dolls to be PERFECT and ya know, I bet they will be! So even though the wait is painfully long . . . I bet you guys will be doing 'the happy dance' soon.

I left a quick message for Anu yesterday on the Q/A board.
Anu kindly has replied and it sounds like she's hoping to give us a fixed shipping date in the very near future. I think, possibly in around 12 hours, but i'm not completely sure of her meaning, I'll just post her message for you:

Well, it seems I was a little premature... Anu sent me the wrong shipping number (I checked it right after I posted on this board; it turned out to be the shipping number for some clothes I ordered and received a long time ago), so I contacted her to find out what happened. She is actually hoping to ship him by next weekend. She was expecting the heads to arrive from the make-up artist on Thursday but they will not be in until next week. She was planning to ship yesterday and somehow I got the email message a little early. She said "sigh please , it will be no troubles after next Monday". She sounds a little depressed by this whole process. I know how it is to rely on someone who doesn't come through for you. Anyway, sorry for the false alarm; I guess I can wait another week or so after all this time.~~Lin

 

I'm so sorry... Well...at least we're hearing something. It's a shame that Anu is depressed, considering what a lovely doll he is, but she must have had problem after problem for him to have been delayed this long - almost 2 months past when she wanted to have them done and sent. She must be a little frustrated. All I need is to hear something about what is happening, and I can go back to what I'm doing and forget about it for awhile. I just get stressed with silence. Thanks for letting us know, anyway!

EDIT for question... Are they not painted by Anu herself? For some reason I thought she did all the work for them herself...

Anu gave me a follow up message to the original that i posted above (thats what she meant by waiting 12 hours) Basically it's what linakauno has already said. Here's the message:

I recently received an email from Anu after waiting about a week or two from her. She said about the same thing. It should be shipped sometime this next week but I am unsure if this really is a false start or not. I know she is doing her best.

I recieved an e.mail too, Anu had said she'd update me again when she recieved the heads.

Um...I feel like I should just put HDMB out of my mind right now, but for some reason he is insistantly intruding on my thoughts - over and over, reminding me that he is coming soon. I have no idea what to expect, with a doll this big, and this fantastic, so I'm kind of in a state of anticipation and anxiety - butterflies, if you will. But if he isn't coming soon, then I'm getting myself worked up for nothing, so I really shouldn't be thinking about him, and....yup, we've circled around again. He keeps nudging at my brain, "hey, don't forget about me..." *sigh* I haven't forgotten....just tell me when you're coming and all will be ready for you!

I'm totally there with you both! This is the longest I've ever waited for a doll and I don't want to get all excited...but part of me is all, "Next week! Next Week! YEAY!"

But I don't want to get all wrapped up again.

Maybe we should have a support group, huh? Dollaholics against depression? ops:

 

Every morning I open News, hoping to see a new post saying one of you has received a shipping notice... Seriously, I'm dreaming about my guy, and I really think he wants to come home now! Lol... So, no news from me and no news from the you guys...so oh well. (pulls blankets back up over head) Anyone need a blankie and pillow, so you can wait in comfort?
