1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. The movie is called The Agony and the Ecstasy from the novel (i.e. fiction) by Irving Stone upon which it is based. (I quoted some lines from it above.)

And the point of the scene in question was that the Pope was rather short-sighted about a work of art that has remained an enduring masterpiece through the ages.

    2. Can't get Tensiya to open. Anyone else?

    3. I can't either.

    4. I loved that movie/book! But, I just don't know how factual it is/was!

I've also wondered if any of you have though about this being an OPEN forum! Anything you place here is for the world to see. I guarentee, Anu is a polyglot.

I wonder how you'd feel, if you were her, reading this thread?

Nothing, and I mean nothing, runs like a Swiss watch. Not hospitals...Not Microsoft...Not even the inner workings of a University! ^0^
Oh, do you remember how many times Square has pushed back the date for Kingdom Hearts II?

    5. I think that in general we've been pretty humorous about our desire to see our boys - generally poking fun at ourselves for being so anxious, and wondering out loud when they'll ship. Sort of whining and laughing to pass the time. If people don't want to read it, then they don't have to open the post. There are 11 people who are really looking forward to this guy arriving, and it's ok for us to comment during the waiting period - we're paying customers. I think 99% of us are fine with Anu reading our posts and that we'd ask her the same questions as are posted here, but that we don't want to hound her with emails, etc. I can only think of one or two posts - and I don't know if they were written by people who are expecting HDM or not! - who posted messages stating their less than humorous opinions of the wait. Whatever...it's their right to post their opinions too. And if they're not waiting for HDM, then I doubt if Anu will even care about their opinions.

Anu knows we (who ordered HDM) think she's incredibly talented, as well as being very sweet and nice, and personally, I sympathize with any and all hurdles she's had to face to make these wonderful dolls. I will wait a very long time for something I'm really enthusiastic about, and as an artist I understand that creating doesn't always follow a schedule. Things happen and timetables get thrown out the window. But, I believe that communication is very important in business. Perhaps this is one of those "crossing the boundaries of cultures" thing? If I gave someone a date for a commission for a portrait, then I'd best have that portrait to them by that date, or I would have to communicate and inform them of a new date, and give them a status update. But that's MY world. Perhaps Anu's isn't this way, and I make allowances for cultural and artistic differences. Most of us are pretty good-natured about the wait, and actually our desire to see the boys and our impatience at this point is all pretty much a compliment to Anu's talent. We all know he'll be a treasure, and that her work is amazing. If Anu reads our posts and chooses not to comment, then she is free to do that, like any of us. We're not being insulting...we're just voicing our impatience to see our boys. As you said, it's an open forum.

    6. Well spoken, Steph!

    7. I agree Steph! Well spoken indeed! I know I can't wait to see them either!!! (and I am not one of the 11 )

      Judy :daisy

    8. And again, you're speaking as a single artist, acting alone - which is completely different than what Anu is doing.

I for one would prefer Anu continue designing, making fabrics, and creating for her spendid dolls than spending her valuable time writing endless emails. And I'm speaking as the owner of one of her beautiful Hounds, and some of her wonderful clothing. (I think she must have had the fabric for these shirts made to order. I've never seen anything as nice for sale anywhere.)

And as someone who's been involved in joint artistic projects in the past, I think she's doing freaking amazing.

    9. I totally agree with Janne. seriously. *_*

    10. I want to say beforehand that I absolutely adore Anu's work. I have faith in her, and I trust my boy will ultimately be a completely wonderful piece of work. If I didn't like/trust Anu, I wouldn't have bought him from her in the first place =)

BUT, I completely agree with StephG.

Maybe, this is because WE'RE the ones who have paid, and have suffered a 4~5-month wait, with MINIMAL updates/news and constant heart-breaking when Anu once again postphones the shipping date.

I understand that the whole thing isn't completely within her control, but the least she could've done was keep us updated. That's all I ask for. I'd rather she constantly tell me, "Pls wait another X-number of weeks because we have problems with the face-up artist" than just leave us hanging all the time clueless about what's happened to our beloved thousand-dollar boys, clueless about whether something went wrong, or that they just plainly need more time.

We want to email her to ask, but we fear we'll only stress her. We want to rant about her (and I must say we have been REALLY good-humoured about our whines), we get people telling us we're just being plain impatient.

Do you know what it felt like to see people who've waited only ONE WEEK getting their Hounds, although they were released SO many months after HDM? I don't think you could possibly understand what we went through.

    11. oh boy, I've been waiting since 4/26/05 (give or take) for my unoa boy, and I waited a long time for other dolls too. I understand FULLY your frustration, as I am sure that MANY people on this board do. So saying that we couldn't possibly understand is a bit much don't you think?

I do think it would be nice if she'd posted some kind of explanation, but I know that she hasn't dropped off the planet, (I was doing an interview with her and she hadn't replied for a while and responded saying that she was just insanely busy and was having a hard time) and I'm sure that as soon as she can she'll be in here letting you guys know what's up. I think that posting really irritated posts about this isn't really going to help anything. Remember that Anu reads here...

    12. Again, I don't think we're ALL writing really irritated posts here, and frankly NOW I'm getting irritated. We were having some lighthearted fun here, and now it's taken a freakishly annoying turn. Please, people, we all know our views now. For the record:

      1) Anu is talented and very nice
      2) HDM is late, for whatever reasons
      3) Stuff happens. We get it. We understand it.
      4) We only want a little info every once in awhile. Not too much to ask.
      5) We're not being mean or ganging up on anyone. There's only ELEVEN of us, right?
      6) We will love our boys when they arrive.
      7) I doubt Anu will hate the Eleven for posting that we're anxious for our boys - we certainly don't hate her - we think she's great!
      8. So let's just LET IT GO now.

Thanks and have a good night! :daisy

PS - Yup, you're right, I'm getting annoyed. I'm tired, and we've all explained ourselves over and over, and STILL we're getting lectured. Enough, please!

    13. who's lecturing? You said what you think, and I said what I think? :P

    14. My apologies if I misunderstood, but it feels like we're being lectured to, if you read through. I'm just getting a little testy about it, because I really am looking forward to this boy. I'm not feeling negative about him, and I don't want to. That's all...

      Peace, out. :daisy

    15. While we're waiting.... I would love to know what names those of you who are getting them have chosen.......... and maybe the reason why you chose them. I think it is really neat that Anu makes that a part of the ordering process.

      TIA

      :D

    16. I picked my Bermann's name primarily for originality it doesn't have any special meaning that I'm aware of, it's simply a fantasy name. His last name though is a mispelling of a favourite fictional character.
That's not very interesting is it

Oh- and by the way, in case anybody was going to check, at present Tensiya website is still down.

      San.

    17. Hmmm...I haven't been able to get in since yesterday??? Anybody else...?

    18. Customhouse seems to be unavailable too. Maybe it's a server problem...?

    19. I think only people who actually ordered or want to offer support to those waiting should post in this thread.

The ones who ordered a bit a frustrated and need a place to vent, so they came here to share their feelings.

I don't understand why anyone who didn't order nor is here to offer them support is posting in this thread. At all. Specially since they've been pretty light on their rant...

I guess I don't get why somebody would come here and try to aggravate the ones who are waiting even more...

Maybe I'm the only one with the theory "if don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"...

I'm pretty sure they all get it how talented Anu is and how complicated this has been to her. Still, they *need* to vent somewhere. Too bad they are being jumped that way... :(

    20. considering that you're not exactly saying something nice either?

I'm not saying that no one should say something bad about Anu. I very clearly said that I understood their frustration, as I've been frustrated waiting for many dolls I've ordered in the past, and am currently waiting for one for my unoa boy for 6 months now. I also said that I think it would be good for Anu to keep people more updated.

if people followed your rule "don't say anything that isn't nice" then all the people you were defending, couldn't post anything at all in this thread, since it "wouldn't be nice".

unfortunately in a forum with this many people, rants are not always something that ends up nicely. In a perfect world, we could all make each other feel better and wallow in our misery together, and have a grand old time feeling warm and fuzzy better as people share the things that are bothering. But unfortunately that is not this world, and people are bound to get offended. three people may agree with you and appreciate your post, and 3 others may get all upset about it. I'm not asking people to not post "geeze, it's been a long time, I wish Anu would let us know what is going on!" I'm just saying be careful about what you post here, as people can get inflamed pretty fast, and Anu DOES read this board. and I would hate for her to come on here, and read a bunch of bitching and fighting over her dolls (which is what this is degenerating into), instead of a few polite questions about where they are.
