Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Best Deal You've Ever Gotten

Jul 20, 2016

    1. My best deal so far is my Luts senior delf tan boy with a company face-up that I got for $245.32 at Mandarake. My best clothing deal was a partial Dollheart homme fer I found for him at Mandarake for $20.00.

    2. I bought my SeniorDelf Bliss, Muninn, for an absolute song... but he was a "project doll" that required a lot of work to fix up, so I'm not sure he really counts. His price was a reflection of his condition.

Given that? The runner-up has to be Peregrine, my second Sakaki. I found him for a really good price on Mandarake, at a time when the exchange rate was very, very good. I think he ended up costing me around $350 when all was said and done. He wasn't heavily damaged or yellowed or anything like that. He was just old and needed a good scrub and a restringing.

    3. Found and bought (was lucky to be the first of like 10 people to message the seller)a minifee Juri 08 on the marketplace for $375 (at the time she was going for $800-$1000) who was my grail at the time. I was watching out for her, and looking on the marketplace frequently. I really did love her but fell out of love with minifee in the end. Still the best deal I ever got. Just lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

    4. I really love retro dolls, and as such I'm always shopping the second had market. I found a Volks Rio head on the MP for $85 and an SD body that's almost a perfect yellowness match on Mandarake for $180. So I got a complete Volks doll for $270. Did I mention that the Rio has her original face up from a time when Volks was doing cute face ups?

    5. The best deal I think was probably when I won a lot of furniture on eBay. I had planned to clean up and paint the stuff I'd won and then decide if I wanted to keep it or sell it. I asked the seller a question about one of the items, and they mentioned they had a lot of other furniture and props and they didn't want to deal with the hassle of selling it and offered to include it for free as long as I payed the increased shipping amount.
I was pretty thrilled and wound up keeping a decent amount of the stuff from that lot.

    6. My best deal would have to be that my Ringdoll Shao with company faceup only cost me $230!

Back in 2010, Featherfall had a dealers hall booth at an anime convention I frequented, with some in stock dolls there for sale. I was still new to the hobby and had no idea what I wanted in a first doll, but I saw him there on the display table and I was absolutely enchanted by him! I knew I couldn't leave without him. It turns out he was the price he was because he'd been sitting around for several months as an in stock item and just wasn't selling, and they no longer wanted to be a dealer for Ringdoll, so he "had to go". I don't think I've ever moved as quickly as I did to get on that layaway plan. :chibi

The sculpt went out of production by the time my boy made it home.

    7. It wasn't a BJD, but I bought an artist doll for 1/3rd of the price it was worth because it was the first of that kind she did... But I saw it and I knew if I didn't buy it there I would regret it in the future because I wouldn't be able to afford one.
Now she sells the same for 3 or 4 times the price xD

    8. He He It was Shibuya Rin stage limited edition outfit i bought it for $115 I consider it cheap since its limited edition
I stalked poor guy for a month :P (he was moving to a new pleace and that's why it took so long)
I also bought lately Shinon (Volks Sword Art Online 2 limited doll) outfit set with wig and boots for $150

    9. I got my second doll, an Iplehouse JID Boris second hand from someone off facebook for $350 AUD with shipping and everything and he came with goodies and a lovely note. He was cheaper then my first doll who was a KID, she was $380 lol Cheapest doll I ever got and I love him to bits :)

    10. I got my first BJD, an IMPLdoll Gela, for under $150. She was a fullset with body and fantasy blushing and a custom faceup.

    11. Probably my Dollmore Kid Vian for 175 or my second hand Loongsoul Yesha for 350 (came with a face up and wigs and eyes)

    12. The best deal I had ever gotten was for my Doll Chateau Stacy, she was being sold on eBay at half price, with two sets of clothing, custom face up, three wigs, extra sets of eyes and yeah. I couldn't resist.

    13. Haven't gotten a steal of a deal on a doll yet, but I did get a Luts wig from an ebay auction for $4, shipping included.

    14. Best deal....70$ for a tan 5star Doll Aiden...lil cutie is with me still. <3

    15. Let's see - I got a pair of gorgeous glass eyes by Silver for about $40 once on Y!J. They were marked B grade, but they had the tiniest little air bubble ever in one of them.

I also got a great deal on my Volks Daria head. It was about half the price they typically run.

    16. i got my first doll a kids sky lapis lazuli for 15% off and with a free faceup. i think i got a pretty good deal :3nodding:

    17. This boy's body cost me $35 dollars and his head was free. Then I modded him.

    18. My best deals so far was a Iplehouse SID Cherie, special real skin, with default faceup C, and a beautiful dress, shipped from US to Norway for only $490. I also bought a Feeple60 tan head with custom Nomyens faceup, on eBay for a £100 GBP. Consider the faceup alone cost $90 plus shipping, it was a great deal.

    19. My best deal on dolls was my very first doll! I ordered a Doll Legend 25cm Yin Man through Alice's Collections and even though an event was not starting for another 3 days, they applied the 10% discount to my order!!

My best deal on items for my doll was a skirt made by @skyf, he is getting into sewing for BJDs and I was lucky enough to be the recipient of one of his first items which is beautifully made and fits perfectly :)

    20. Not a deal gotten, but a deal made:
I sold an old doll I had pieced together cheap on the market place to a friend for $50 and a year's worth of baked goods. Several delicious cakes and sweet breads later, I am quite convinced it was the absolute best deal ever.
