1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

BJD website pet peeves... and aspect favorites!

Feb 27, 2010

    1. Oh yes, that's what it makes a non-expert in Soom navigate their page :)

    2. I was just thinking about that lol...I was SOOOOOO confused the first time I went to their site

    3. Honestly?
1- When companies don't explicitly state/illustrate whether a body is double jointed or not.
2- Sites that make it impossible to find the measurements of their bodies/heads
2a- companies that only sell heads but DON'T LIST NECK SIZE ANYWHERE
3- No companies ever seem to have any of their dolls in stock, which I feel is a missed opportunity
4- straight up dead websites for companies that are still in business

As for things I like, there's a reason I used ACBJD religiously for so long
      1- up-to-date catalog
      2- simple, slick design
3- all measurement information easily accessible in a streamlined way

so like... what one would expect from an online shop...

    4. I'd like to see more blank examples of dolls, definitely.
Oh and when it's not clear in the menu what size each section is, keeps sending me back here to the databases!

I find a lot of sites do this well though and that helps me narrow down already difficult choices of which to aim for next!

      Edit: spelling
