1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Blue Fairy Pocket Fairy Discussion part 2

Dec 18, 2012

1. PetiteChair: What a pretty little dress! I have knitted one item for pocketfairy sugar before, - a little sparkly sweater for my friend Melissa's doll, but not since. Your dress came out so well! I love the neutral colours in it. So pretty.

Icicle: You Fei's Emily The Strange outfit is so perfect on her! It fits her expression so well :)

Midolls*Melissa: Wow! Your pocketfairy crew is multiplying!! You have such a wonderful group of sweet dolls <3 My two girls are feeling very jealous of your groups PJs. We might have to investigate that seller at some point.

I took my poor neglected dolls out for a bit of a play today, and took a couple of photos of my Didi sisters Mia and Niamh. I love their sweet little faces so much!

3. Ahhh you make me want a Sugar, I really wish I'd seen the Winter Sweet Daram up on the site.

4. Here is my *completed* army of PF's...I added a Fei...adopted from nixiepixie on Flickr... she made most of the outfit pieces you see here...

5. melissa, you know I love your gang and I'm very happy cause now, you have a Fei :) they're so cute!!!!

Mine has (again) a new owner :/

6. Best family, ever. Fei is the perfect addition. I love seeing her next to Yoko. I will get there eventually, I fear, lol!
Do you keep them all out all the time or do you bring them out for photos?

She is so lovely! I can see why you couldn't resist bringing her back home. I have a weakness for red heads -- takes all my will power not to make everyone a ginger here.

7. thank you so much...I love your Ivy and would love to see more piccies of her ^----^

thank you so much...I look forward to welcoming all of your future PF additions :D...I keep all of my BJD's out all of the time, they sit on my dresser in my bedroom (all kinds of comfy and cozy with each other)which btw gets very little sunlight because I work all of the time and pretty much just use the room to toss and turn and attempt to sleep in, lol...

8. Hello everyone... I am new to this thread but have secretly been admiring PF for a very long time, especially Didi :) I have to ask where did you find Marine tan Didi? I can not see her anywhere on the PF site and I am completely smitten with her <3333
Thank you :)

9. Hmm, you're dresser must be more free of clutter than mine then, lol! ;)
There's an artistic look to the group, I can see why you'd like to see them out -- much better to enjoy what you have than keeping them tucked away.

Hi poordittums and welcome! The tans tend to be limited editions, sometimes only released at doll shows and the like. Same with beauty white. Natural skin is usually the only option offered for basic dolls at BF.

10. thank you... oh that is a shame. I think I am completely hooked now on trying to find a little tan skin Didi ;)

11. poordittums I would advise following Catherine Parks (or Parkes?) on FB if you have an account. She's an authorised dealer for BlueFairy and specialises in the limiteds. She will occasionally have extras to sell after the shows so it's worth checking with her. The original Marine Scout tans were made in editions of 12 per sculpt I believe and were only available at Dollism in Hong Kong and Japan. They have never been offered outside of the Asian marketplace. They have since made more in a slightly different tan.

I had a marine Didi and she lives with my friend Alexisbears now. I could only part with her because I was lucky enough to find marine scout Minimay who was my grail girl and I knew Didi was Alexis' grail girl so it only seemed fair (plus I still get to see her on a regular basis!)

BF limiteds are expensive, especially when compared to their basic dolls but they are absolutely stunning. I think the expense largely comes from the very limited castings that they do and they tend to have estebebe faceups that I believe are painted by the top estebebe artists (and those aren't cheap!) I have both baked marine scout mays - pocket fairy and tiny fairy and along with my Lati Gabie would be the only dolls I couldn't part with if I ever had to give up my collection. I wish BlueFairy dolls were more appreciated outside of Japan/Scandinavia. I think that simple aesthetic is so refreshing. If I had more $$ I'd be bringing a whole horde of them home.

I am at work so can't link you directly to Catherine's account but if you find BlueFairy on FB, they use some of Catherine's photos so you can find her account that way.

12. Oh wow thank you so much for that information!!!
I have been in the doll hobby for years now and I remember right from the start I was attracted to little PF Jimmy... I never owned one and was obsessing over Latidolls more. Later they caught my eye again with the release of the sugar bodies... and I fell in love with Didi but again I never took the plunge and ordered one.
Recently I have noticed the tans pop up and I am such a fan of tan dolls... the moment I saw Didi in her adorable outfit I was smitten <3333 I really love them all though but Didi is the number one for me.
Thank you for the advice in regards to Catherine, I will certainly follow her! HUGS xox

13. Hi everyone. I'm so excited that I'm going to be able to join this group . I've just ordered my first pocket fairy (I'm not going to tempt fate by revealing who until she arrives). I've already got plenty of Lati yellow and secret doll clothes, so I think I'll see how they fit before ordering anything else. In the meantime I've loved looking at all your gorgeous photos.

14. Hi Smudge! Huge congrats to you :) I just ordered my first PF also!!

15. Congrats poordittums! It's nice to know we will both be getting new dolls! Did you get the Didi you wanted? I almost went for Didi but swayed at the last moment.

I am starting to worry that one PF will not be enough! They really need a friend or two. Sadly, the friends might have to wait a while!

Edit: Sorry, I'm sure I read something about Lati clothes but I can't find it now. Do they work or are they too small? In particular I'm looking at dresses but I was wondering if they would be too short.

16. Congratulations! They do like friends. I'm working on that too :)
Did you get the regular body or the taller Sugar/Pepper body? The 20cm S&Ps will work all right with Person clothing and the shorter body should work with Lati things. The S&Ps are mostly leg, so Lati/Pukifee items will be a bit short on them and probably a touch wide as well. Depending on the outfit-- dress as tunic for example -- it might work just fine.

17. Thank you :) I got a sugar body. That's what I was hoping - that lati yellow outfits would work at tunic length. I've just ordered a lati dress that is ankle length, so hopefully it will work. If not, there are plenty of other girls here that it might fit!

18. I tried Yoko and Yoko on sugar and pepper bodies ,I think they grew well :).
They also tried some tinydelf20 school uniforms .
I think that I can live with the difference in resin colors ,so as soon as I find a money tree I will upgrade them to new bodies.
Of the seven pocket fairies that live here I want six to be bigger but I fell for cute older faces of the small pocketfairies :) .

19. They look great! In the photo, the resin difference isn't noticeable at all with the blushing on the heads.
The outfits are cute too. Hmm, I think I'll go check out Luts and see if they have any clothes available... :)

20. What cutie pies Beatrice!

Icicle...it might be worth keeping an eye on Fabric Friends and Dolls too - she is a luts dealer so you could get outfits shipped within the US. I got my tiny delf 20 Alice from her
