It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Blue Fairy Pocket Fairy Discussion part 2

Dec 18, 2012

    1. I love everyone's photos and may need to add another pocket fairy to my collection (ok, 'will'!) when funding permits! I have just realised that my poor girl doesn't have a name yet - or a wig that fits! I must resolve both issues and then share photos!

    2. I think Pocket Fairy fever is proving contagious as after seeing your little cutie Princess Starburst I will definitely have to get Clodagh a little friend but not until next year. Ah well, at least the nice thing is we know that whenever we order the wait won't be horrific.

Sakura looks so pretty in her new dress and wig.

      Smudge
Sometimes they take a while to find their name. Hope you can resolve her wig issues and share her soon.

    3. OK, I have no idea how to individually reply to everyone! I am a bit rusty here.
Icicle Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I have been out of the loop with bid for so long and it is lovely to have one back in my life. I have collected so many different types of dolls, all sizes, and I definitely find the small dolls much more fun. I think I have finally found my 'niche' in this hobby!
alexisbears I really appreciate the way that both you and Honeythorpee share the information on where you get your clothes, wigs, eyes etc so freely. I know that a lot of collectors are quite secretive about these things (I guess they fear being copied) so it is so refreshing to have someone share so openly. It really has helped me mentally figure out the size of a sugar body (should I want one down the track!)
And please please please go ahead with your plans to add a pocket fairy to your collection! At least I can tell my sakura that she doesn't have to live in my handmade felt creations for the rest of her life!!!! I am already greedily dreaming of your cute pocket fairy dresses ;-)
Smudge finding the 'right' name is always fun I think. Because I adore all things Japanese I just went through google and searched for popular Japanese girls names~~!! That gave me quite a few to go on. As for wigs, I noticed that there are some wigs on Etsy that are advertised as "Pocket Fairy" size. They look quite nice and I was tempted to get one but decided to play it safe and stick to Bluefairy as I didn't want to much around too much with different companies.
Oh Honeythorpe........Yes!!! go ahead and write down that new years resolution for a Pocket Fairy Tiny!!! (More dresses for me to be tempted by!!!) I just realised it is only 14 weeks till Christmas.......EEEEK........so there will be no more pocket fairies for me this year. I have my puki girls on layaway and they will be home by November but my dreams for another Pocket Fairy will have to take a back seat. Unless, of course, Santa really is real and will drop a few down my chimney ;-)

    4. PrincessStarburst, that dark wig is such a perfect fit for your little Sakura. Adorable <3

    5. Thanks Princess Starburst, I'll give etsy a try. I actually have the PF wig that your girl is wearing but just couldn't get it to stay on her head!

    6. Sharkyra Thank you ;-)

Smudge Yes, my wig was the same. I used what we call in Australia "Blu Tac" but in white. It is like eye putty but less sticky. I put a blob on her head and then stuck the wig on. It was the only way that I could get the wig to fit!!!

    7. Oh wait, I wanted to show you what Minimay looks like in a girl (ballerina) wig:

I think I also decided on a name for him: Harry.

    8. Wow, Sharkyra......what a pretty girl! Love that wig. Her eyes really pop in those colours too.
Harry is a great name for a boy. Always reminds me of a cheeky little mischief maker!

    9. Harry looks adorable as a girl! So although I've not named my girl yet I'm already thinking of who to get next! Yoko and Didi are on the list! Does anyone have photos of both?

thanks for the suggestion of googling names.

    10. smudge I've had both Yoko and Didi but never at the same time so can't help you with that one. Mi-Dolls has both - she has quite a few pics of them together on her flickr - here they are right next to each other https://flic.kr/p/d12kKS My favourite name site is babynamesofireland.com I love that site purely because it has audio files the author Frank McCourt pronouncing the names and reading the meanings (and sometimes stories) behind them. All my BlueFairy dolls have Irish names and I think it's a convention I'll stick to.

Sharkyra Harry looks rather sweet as a girl but I really like him as a boy. Have you decided to keep him as a boy?

    11. Thank you :)

honeythorpe, yes, I think he is going to stay a boy, however a boy who always dreamt of being a girl and likes to dress up as one. ;)

PrincessStarburst, thank you. Yes, I guess he is a little mischief maker.

smudge, thank you, I'm sure Harry will be pleased to learn that you all love his ability to cosplay.

    12. Well... just as my obession with little pocketfairies was reaching it's climax and I was on the edge of deciding to order one, a cute little Minimay popped up in the marketplace.
I had to bring her home... really, there wasn't any other choice. The poor little girl was looking so forlorn and lonely, and making those sad puppy dog eyes at me. I swear I saw a little tear sneak down her cheek as she whispered how desperately she wanted to come live at my house. :-)

So... meet little Meringue! She was very happy to meet her two new big sisters.

I love her. I feel like I still really need a Noma sister to join the family, but she will have to be in the plans for sometime next year. I have been more than naughty enough already!

    13. She's adorable, Alexisbears, congrats! I really love the smaller size, they're so cute. I have a confession to make too. I recently adopted Aiko from Mimisstuff, a Sugar Jimmy, and she sat there looking a bit lonely, so I have ordered her a friend - a Minimay on a sugar body - but I ordered from Angelesque in the UK, so she'll be a bit longer to arrive than direct from Bluefairy. Bluefairy mark full value so the customs are always bad, so although Angelesque's prices area bit more than ordering directly, at least there will be no more customs to pay and the shipping is only £10.

    14. alexisbears, everything about Meringue is adorable. She melts me! I think that she was meant to be, it wasn't coincidence that she was on the marketplace at the right time, she wanted to come live with you!! I really love the wig you have on her and her eyes are perfect. Are they puki shoes she is wearing? I have the same pair but they don't seem to fit. My poor girl lives and dies in the one pair of shoes that do fit ;-)

Kayjay Oh I love it when fellow dolly friends are on a dolly spending spree, I can live vicariously through them!! I have seen Miminstuff's Aiko and she is gorgeous so I have no doubt that she will captivate you with her magic. I don't blame you for ordering through Angelesque, these custom fees are a killer. Nasty customs charging innocent dolly collectors money, we should be exempt! (actually we are in Australia.......well, for the meantime anyway!)

    15. Thanks kayjay, - and congrats on your two little pocketfairies too! Can't wait to see them :)

PrincessStarburst: I think it was you and your cute little Sakura that pushed me over the edge :) Her shoes are pocketfairy ones from Bluefairy. I ordered a few pairs when I bought my Strawberry Didi, so I could piggyback the shipping fees. Their shoes are so nice. On the expensive side, but they are made so well, - they look just like miniature real shoes. I haven't tried many other shoes on my girl yet, but the fairyland pukipuki spotty boots I have do fit her too. I want more Bluefairy shoes, - might have to order another doll to justify buying some ;)

    16. I haven't spent a lot of time with Isi lately as I have been so busy :( She is still waiting for me to find her hair...

    17. Isi is just beautiful bald, so she probably doesn't mind the lack of hair yet although she may demand a hat when the weather gets chillier ;)

    18. Isi is beautiful. She looks like a fashion model.

    19. thank you both!!!

    20. The photos with the feather are adorable <3
