Blue Fairy Pocket Fairy Discussion part 2

Dec 18, 2012

    1. I have one of the early Yoko's. Unfortunately she still desperately needs to be restrung. :p

    2. She's very sweet - and talented at levitating too! What a cute baby doll too. Thank you for sharing a photo of her.

    3. Angel is so badly strung, that she cannot stand on her own at all. But she's still a cutie. :) Her dolly is by elfinhugs, and I have a larger one as well.

    4. Midolls, your Pocketfairies remind me of sweets! ^^

    5. Is it just the resin colour that is different in the special releases? I can't see any difference in the make-up but I might just be missing it.

    6. Thank you Hannah ^--^

the differences are subtle...my Strawberry Didi she is beauty white and has very soft makeup in the palest pinks...my Noma and Remmy where from the white choice event and their makeup is orange tones...my newest beauty white Jimmy has pale makeup just like my Didi. My normal release Jimmy, Yoko, Fei and Noma while not purchased at the same all their makeup is very similar...my baked Marine Didi and Marine Remmy are different and my suntan Sage Jimmy has much warmer makeup than either Marine Didi or Remmy.
      I hope that helps?

edit: I've posted some comparison pics on my flickr and here is one of the regular releases notice Noma has stronger makeup but so does my bw choice Noma:

    7. Has anyone ordered the Milky Fairy with painted eyes? The Mini Mini May is very cute but tiny. :)

    8. I'm guessing that the painted eyed dolls are off topic for DoA, but I would love to see one alongside a normal PF. As you say, Oliveoil, the mini-mini-may is very cute and I like the look of the bigger mini may too. Did you not have a painted Rosenlied at one time and didn't get on with her? I wonder if in reality I would like the painted eyed dolls. Saying that I've seen a Jerry Berry irl and really like those.

Melissa - I just love your PF family :aheartbea

    9. Of course! I didn't think about being off topic. Oops! Yes I did have a painted Monday but it wasn't the painted eyes that bothered me. It was the contrast of eyes and tan resin. The little Mini mini may is cute, but very tiny.

    10. I haven't ordered but MilkyFairy's are a PF resin head (closed eye which is painted and open eye) on a Obitsu body or a PF body. I guess it should still be on topic because of the PF body option.

:daisy edit to add pic Jimmy and Yoko :daisy

    11. wow everyone, i am loving these sweeties in all your photos. Please can you tell me what size these lovelies are, and if possible what company they are from. sorry if this sounds like a silly question but i am new and dont know if the names you put are the names you have given them or the sculpt names.
I absolutely lOVE them, and have a definite love of bjds that have a younger model of body and face. thanks so much for humouring me xxx

    12. I ordered all three MF heads with one body (for now) but I haven't received them yet. Once I do, I will post a comparison pic for you. :>
So... are they off topic for sure then?

    13. Hi,
Welcome to the world of Bluefairy :)
Bluefairy is the company who make these dolls, and these particular ones are called "Pocketfairies". You can find their website here: http://www.bluefairyint.com/
There are two sizes of Pocketfairy. The original size is about 13cm tall, and then there are another taller version called Pocketfairy Suger. These Sugar bodies are taller, but the head size is the same. Pocketfairy Sugar dolls are about 18cm tall.
I have a picture with my two pocketfairy Sugars with a regular sized Pocketfairy so you can see the difference:

My two Sugars are "Didi" sculpt, and the regular Pocketfairy is "MiniMay" sculpt.
      Hope this helps!

    14. Hello there Peapod, I had a whole answer written and after I posted it I noticed Alexis had already replied and done a much better job than me since she has some comparison photos!
So the only thing I can really add is that Midolls*Melissa's photo above your post was of the sculpts Jimmy (left) and Yoko (right) but she has lots of others, her collection of pocketfairies is great! ^^ I hope that helps somewhat, I know what you mean about the look, I don't really collect tinies, but all Bluefairy's dolls have that young look so they're my favourite company!!

Alexis I love Niamh and Mia so much!! >< I always get excited when I see them.

    15. I think they should be *On Topic* especially if they have the Pocketfairy body but
who actually makes the Off topic/On topic decision?

edit to sneak in a picture:

    16. Thank you! :) I have had these girls out recently, but haven't taken new photos for a while. My camera card decided to go on strike, and my phone doesn't really take reliably decent photos so I haven't bothered much. I really must get a new memory card so I can share some fresh photos.

    17. Hi, people.
I was looking at the "what fits" thread, but I can't find anything for Pepper body.
What doll clothes fit pepper bodies?
I see Azone clothes somewhere, but it doesn't tell whether it's 1/6 Azone or 1/12 Azone.

      Thanks/

    18. Hello there, Azone XS fits but is a little long in the sleeve looks cute though, Petworks Odeco, Nikki and Usaggie fit but are a little short in the sleeve and pant length, Tiny Betsy fits but is a bit loose fitting,TTYA fits but is very wide and short on the sleeve and pant as it's intended for Lati.
