1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

BlueFairy Mini (Tiny fairy) discussion Part 1

Jun 18, 2005

    1. I have Xiao and think she is lovely. They are certainly well made and pose well.

    2. Teen trends fit the old style Xiao body too!

    3. Markings? You mean her freckles? She came completely blank, but I gave her freckles on her knees and chest to go with the freckles on a past faceup.

    4. not my taste but very lovely!!

    5. I can't say anything about BF dolls posing or anything, but I love sarang! :D good luck on getting her, she's such a cutie!

    6. when i got alda ( bf emilie ), she had a blossom body. she needs to be strung a bit tighter, but i can get her to stand on her own two feet! i don't have any good pictures of her, but here is her introduction, which contains a picture of her blossom body nude and one with a wrap on her. i'll update you when i actually have a good set of photos to share. :) bluefairy tinyfairies need more love!!!

    7. Blue fairies, blue faires!! (Even though I don't have any..hee hee)

    8. The blossom body is really lovely ^^

    9. ooh, go ahead and get your sarang! i think it meant 'love' in korean, if im not mistaken. i had my eyes on her for months, but i am focusing more on my doll list first. her smile and teeth is just too sweet!

    10. You are correct ^^ sarang means love! Yes she was really a cute girl *sight* I miss my past dolls sometimes.
Maybe I'll adopt another BF in future!

    11. One thing I love about ABJDs is their incredible customizability (I'm not sure that's actually a word but, ah, who cares? ;) ) Their value increases with their individualism and artistic modifications--not to mention they're just a lot of fun to make into your very own, one of a kind doll! But I've been having some problems with my Automail Jerome, the Blue Fairy doll with a body mold based on the main character, Ed Elric, from Fullmetal Alchemist.

I got AM Jerome for Christmas (you know your parents love you when they'll buy you a $950 doll!) and I expected to immediately fall in love. It's now mid-January and I still haven't bonded. I love his body, but I find his face just so *plain.* I love the Jerome head mold, but the faceup he came with is based on Ed Elric who definitely doesn't look like the sort of gothic boys I love. *sighs* I would feel really guilty getting him repainted, especially since I tend to go with pretty dark faceups and that's just very... not Ed. But I'm gonna have to do something in order to keep myself from just reselling him. Ya'll think I should try and find another head for him and put his in a box or just shrug it off and repaint Jerome? I just feel so guilty modding limiteds! Anyone else ever feel this way or is it just me being weird?

    12. I think if you want to give him a new faceup you should just go for it. It's YOUR doll, limited or not.

Besides, for the Automail Jerome most of the value is in the body.

    13. honestly, i say go for the repaint. yes, he's limited BUT... he's your boy. and maybe Ed has always kinda secretly wanted to be all dark and gothy, who knows?

still, if you're really that reluctant, go ahead and order an unpainted Jerome head and go to town on that, preserving his original faceup. that's a perfectly viable option, and nothing to be embarrassed about.

    14. I'd just buy another jerome head. So you can still have retain ed's value and have a doll that's your own :)

    15. ^_^ I would repaint him! It's his body that's most unique. Plus I think a gothic Ed would be awesome! Plus it will help you bond with him. ^__^

    16. I'd say go for it! :)
If you think you'll bond with him better if his makeup is more your style, then I think you should really get him the makeup you want. I think gothic makeup with Ed Elric's body will go very well too ;)

    17. I say you should do whatever will help you feel closer to your doll. There are a lot of people who just never feel that connection with certain dolls, but anyone will tell you that it's always worth it to try. Even if you still feel distant after the modding, it certainly sounds like there is a lot of interest in your idea. You could always sell. Agian, as was said before by others, you could also just buy another and try it on that one. Good luck!

    18. If you want to redo his faceup, I say do it.
He's your doll. PLUS, as someone already stated, with automail Jerome, it's the body that's limited, not the faceup. So as long as you keep his body intact, I don't think you have to worry about losing his "value" too much.

    19. The Automail Jeromes are older Bluefairy resin I believe, so I'd be concerned with them matching the current resin if you wanted to get a blank head to repaint.

He's your doll, do what you want. But I do understand feeling guilty about changing limited dolls. :sweat

    20. If you're not happy with him then what's the point of having him? I think that it would be a waste for your parents to buy you a 950$ doll to have you not love him. Do what you need to do to make him into what you want him to be. Limited or not, he's yours to customize.
