BlueFairy Mini (Tiny fairy) discussion Part 1

I know that clothings for MSD can fit easily the BF Tiny Fairy dolls. Is this reversible?

Meaning, If I sew outfits based on BF Tiny Fairy boy, will they also fit other MSD size dolls?

(I'm wondering mostly for the boy versions. Thanks!)

 

BF Tiny Fairies have a similar build of Volks MSDs and Angel Region Little Fairs. They're considered somewhat "fatter" than other MSDs, so I'm sure if you make an outfit for a BF TF it will fit other MSD-sized dolls, though it might fit a little loosely, rather than looking well-fitted.

 

Bluefairy dolls are actually much skinnier than Volks MSDs and can wear Unoa/Minifee clothing. They also have the exact same body as AR Little Fairs, who again, are skinnier than Volks MSDs.

Clothing made specifically for BF bodies will be tight on Volks and chubbier MSDs, but if given a little length in the leg, will fit just fine on Minifee and Unoa boys.

 

Yep BlueFairy are slimmer than MSD, I have found if the outfit is a little loose it fits volks msd fine depends on the styles.

 

Does anyone know how much slimmer they are than Volks MSD?

Also, I usually make shirts rather loose fitting. Would this be enough to fit an MSD?

 

This might be a stupid question..

I was looking at the tiny fairy site debating between Kyle and Jerome when I noticed Louis. Is his headsculpt just extremely similar to Jerome's or are they the same? Jerome is only offered as an option head and Louis is only offered as a fully assembled doll. His is the only head not for sale by it's self and Jerome is the only one not available except for as an option head.

Has anyone seen the two side by side? Am I just overthinking this due to my Bluefairy obsession?

They're different. Unless I'm very much mistaken, while they may be close- the way Kyle and Jerome are- they're different. Jerome- in my opinion- is prettier. ^^; Louis has different lips, and I think his eyes look a little more "rectangular." However, the are VERY similar... Pretty. ^_^ I do love Bluefairy... wish I had a reason to get one!

Edit: After a quick extra comparison, I think Jerome's nose may also be a little bigger than Louis's. ^_^ Lou looks more like Jerome's brother or something. Close, but not perfect. Hope this helps answer your question! (And welcome to DoA!)

 

Thank you! It does help. I see what you mean after looking at them again. I've been debating between Kyle and Jerome for my first doll and I must have just been looking at the style for too long they are so similar.

 

Isn't Louis a recently renewed/realesed sculpt? And to my knowledge, Jerome as a full bodied doll has been discontinued... so maybe they're sneaking in a bit of Jerome love XD

 

I was thinking it could be something like that! Jerome is so pretty how could they not?

 

if i am not wrong, I heard that in order to search for a Jerome replacement, they made Louis to take over him.

 

Again this is what I was thinking. They are almost interchangable. Louis could easialy have been designed to fill Jerome's place. Thank you guys for the response!

 

As far as I know, before BlueFairy even became what is now known to us, Jerome mold was the first 'signature' BF mold. It had one renewal already, as well as variation (Kyle) when it had renewal... I guess it was Jerome mold's time to retire and make way for new kids like Louis. I ordered him as soon as I saw he was offered as basic ver., and can't wait!
BF is just so great. I'm totally in love with BF kids. You won't regret.

They're definitely not the same doll. I have a BF Jerome and BF Louis is really quite different. I think he may be a modded version of Jerome?

ust like I think, but I can't say for 100%, that Kyle is a "sleeping" version of Jerome.

 

I dunno about Jerome and Kyle. I think their faces look similar but different and not just because of the eyes. Plus why would he be Kyle then? I'm sure he would be called Sleeping/Dreaming Jerome. Looking at Jerome and Louis again I see that they're different in subtle ways also.

Maybe if Jerome was the first BF mold they are just very partial to the style of it so others come out looking similar?

I thing the confusion around the three is just that Bluefairy just has a very distinct and unique style. Louis, Jerome, and Kyle are all very similar in that they all look very much like Tinyfairies.

But honestly in any event the three are very close. Which IMHO is awesome cause those three are by far my favorites of all the BF molds.
